Five careers that can take off at the WWE Money in the Bank PPV

Money in the Bank PPV was always seen as the stepping stone for the WWE performers; the youngsters showcased their talent and those who were seen as the future of the company were given the briefcase. Careers were elevated and superstars were born. Wrestlers like Daniel Bryan and even CM Punk got their first major break during the Money in the Bank ladder match, and the rest is history. In a few days, few other superstars will have the opportunity to make a name for themselves in the company, and a couple of others have the chance to become the new WWE World Heavyweight champion! Two ladder matches have been announced for the PPV, with one being for the vacant WWE World Heavyweight championship, and the other for the Money in the Bank briefcase, giving the winnerthe opportunity to cash it in at any time within the next year. Although only Seth Rollins has been named as the participant in the second ladder match, few others such as Dean Ambrose and Bad News Barrett will likely find themselves competing for the briefcase. As it is with the MiTB ladder matches every year, we can expectfew superstars figuratively and literally jumping up the ladder in the WWE. In this article, I take a look at five superstars whose careers will likely take off at the Money in the Bank PPV.

#5 Bo Dallas

At number five is the newest superstar on the main roster, Bo Dallas. I admit that he didn’t win me over in the beginning, but after seeing Bo Dallas sometime ago on NXT trying to find his way back into the building, I was forced to change my mind. Bo Dallas has taken a very generic character and has made it into something interesting; much like CM Punk trying to preach during his Messiah days, Bo Dallas telling the fans to “Bo – lieve” has given his character another dimension.

I won’t put my money on Bo Dallas winning the Money in the Bank contract at the PPV, but if he is involved, he can make the most out of it, similar to Cody Rhodes last year. Bo Dallas still has something to prove to the fans, and he will have the perfect opportunity to silence his critics and show the fans what he can do during the ladder match. It will be an interesting proposition nonetheless for Dallas if he is given the opportunity to perform on the show.

#4 Dean Ambrose

Dean Ambrose hasn’t been added yet to the Money in the Bank ladder match for the contract, but that may very well happen in the days leading up to the PPV. Dean Ambrose finally has the opportunity to show the world just how amazing he can be, and has shown shades of Jon Moxley, his independent persona, in the past couple of weeks. Also, with Dean scheduled to feud with Rollins through the summer, one needn’t be surprised if he costs Rollins the briefcase, or even win the match itself.

The feud between the two former partners is guaranteed to be a success, and can cement both the competitors’ stake as legitimate contenders for the WWE World Heavyweight championship in the not so distant future. Either way, both the ladder matches are shaping up to be show – stealers, and we can only wait and see what transpires during the PPV.

#3 Roman Reigns

This participant of the ladder match for the WWE World Heavyweight championship is tipped to become the new face of the WWE sooner than we expected. Roman has impressed everyone with his attitude, and has also proved that he doesn’t need Rollins and Ambrose by his side to cover his weaknesses. Roman Reigns has also received a lot of support from the WWE Universe, and with Triple H high on Roman, it is only a matter of time before he climbs up the ladder to compete for the richest prize in the business.

With Triple H and Roman Reigns set to feud through the summer, Money in the Bank PPV can be the beginning of a long term program between the two. Roman would also look to make an impact on the WWE Universe and prove a thing or two, as he is now on his own, and it is a pivotal point in his career. It will be interesting to see what transpires with Roman come Money in the Bank PPV.

#2 Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins has the best chance to win the Money in the Bank briefcase, solely because he was chosen by the WWE machine to turn heel. Rollins has found himself in an enviable position, and has all the tools required to be the next face of the company. Seth Rollins’ involvement in the ladder match has also opened doors for the former Tyler Black to become a contender for the WWE World Heavyweight championship.

Rollins is scheduled to feud with Dean Ambrose going into the summer, and there can be no better way to intensify the feud than the two fighting over the briefcase. WWE for once has a lot of options for this feud, and they have to make sure that they don’t mess it up like they did with Sandow and Cody Rhodes. With Rollins’ in – ring ability and Dean Ambrose’s verbal prowess, this feud is just getting heated up, and has all the ingredients to become one of the best feuds of the year!

#1 Cesaro

Arguably the odds on favorite to win the ladder match for the WWE World Heavyweight championship going into the PPV, Cesaro has been ready for quite a while to jump into the main event scene. With Paul Heyman by his side, one has to believe that Cesaro will go in as one of the favorites to retrieve the championship gold. Also, with the rumored feud between Brock Lesnar and Daniel Bryan kept on the back burner for now, Cesaro can step up and take the place of Daniel Bryan, and get into a program with Brock Lesnar.

The other scenario can include Daniel Bryan, Brock Lesnar and Cesaro feuding for the title, with Heyman playing the peace maker between Cesaro and Lesnar. This can create a fascinating dynamic, replicating what was done previously with Kurt Angle – Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle – Brock Lesnar. With Paul Heyman’s recent success with Brock Lesnar, we needn’t be surprised if his client wins the WWE World Heavyweight championship – Just another feather in Heyman’s cap.
