WWE Hell in a Cell 2014: 5 things that WWE should do at the Pay-Per-View

The 2014 edition of Hell in a Cell would be the WWE’s chance of recovering from a forgettable Night of Champions. Despite being so important for Network renewals, the Night of Champions fell flat due to some bad booking and lack of superstars. The injury list is hurting WWE big time but hopefully things would change in one month’s time. Writers should avoid repeating the mistakes they did last Sunday and should make sure that they give the fans something to cheer about.SummerSlam was a big example of how the fans would stick by the company if they give a good show and there are certain things that the company could do at Hell in a Cell as well for making it another success story, so here is a rundown on those ‘best for business’ booking decisions WWE could do at Hell in a Cell.

#5 Introduction of a new diva

The WWE’s divas division has been held together by two pillars called AJ Lee and Paige. The duo has been feuding for nearly three months now and is still going strong despite multiple pay-per-view matches that they’ve had.

WWE has introduced the Bellas into the situation to make sure that the twin sisters don’t look lost with their limitation both off and on the ring.

However, there is a need of introducing some new blood into the scenario. Natalya is a diva that deserves to be in the title mix making her an option.

Also, WWE has the luxury of calling up Charlotte or Bayley from the NXT which would ensure that Paige- AJ feud remains fresh.

#4 Cesaro getting a title reign

With a lot of superstars in the injured list, Cesaro is having the best opportunity to rise to the heights that he deserves to be in.

Cesaro unsuccessfully challenged for the United States Championship at Night of champions and has won the right to face Dolph Ziggler for another shot at a midcard title.

He was supposed to be a big deal after winning the Battle Royal at WrestleMania but his stock only fell after that. Bad bookings however didn’t keep Cesaro from giving good performances which is why the company should let his have a title run.

They could easily make the Swiss Superman a star by the time all the injured names return and HIAC would be an apt stage for his ascension.

#3 Roman Reigns return

There are rumors around the block about WWE faking the injury of Reigns. The timing of the same and the return of Ambrose suggest that the rumor might be true as the absence of Reigns provided an ideal stage for the lunatic fringe.

If the speculations turn out to be true, then WWE should not keep Reigns out for a long time. He might still be a bit young with respect to experience but he is too big to be kept out just to sell a kayfabe injury.

Reigns have a lot of options to be involved when he returns with the Authority being prime option once again.

The Reigns – Triple H match is still pending while a feud between Lesnar and Reigns would turn out to be a dream scenario.

#2 Seth Rollins in the title match

Shield broking up due to Seth Rollins meant one thing; he was going to be in the main event in no time. The feud with Dean Ambrose was nothing lower than that level but if Rollins wants to be credible Money in the bank holder, he should start involving in the title picture.

Night of Champions was the first step towards achieving that as Rollins stomped Lesnar while no one expected it to happen.

He has expressed his intention to be the champion with that attack of Lesnar and it would only be a matter of time before Rollins would be challenging for the title.

Instead of putting another Lesnar – Cena match, the company could produce something different involving Rollins.

#1 Triple H getting back in the ring

WWE is going through one of its lowest periods in the Network Era. A handful of injuries and some bad booking decisions have left the fans seeking alternatives to the product which was evident from the tweet that TNA sent out after Night of Champions.

Now, these same fans have always had a soft spot for the Attitude Era stars. Hunter is no different. He has been an effective Authority figure but he is more effective as a crowd puller.

Triple H still has some matches to give in his pocket and he should make his in ring return at Hell in a Cell.

Cena would be a good option to be Hunter’s opponent while Reigns will be another option. No matter whom the option is, Hunter needs to be in between the ropes.
