WWE RAW 14th December 2015 - 5 promising developments

This time Vince Mcmahon got it right.

Soaking it all in!They did it. After weeks of making us experience the most awful of writing, they turned RAW into something special and memorable. And they did it in the most badass way possible. They achieved what they've been trying to do for over a year. They changed the minds of the same audience that went against them not so long ago with regards to a very particular superstar who's worked so hard in the last one year to prove that he's more than just a pretty, protocol face in the WWE.Here are the five promising developments from this episode of Raw -

#1 Poetic Justice

This time Vince Mcmahon got it right.

Almost 11 months after being viciously booed out of the same arena for his Royal Rumble victory, Roman Reigns recieved a standing ovation from the Philadelphia crowd.

This night was truly unforgettable. One would have been wondering how WWE will follow-up to the mammoth, gloriously hellacious end to TLC and they did it by putting the strap on the guy they’ve been rooting for more than a year.

This was awesome. This was badass. This was right.

Reigns deserved this moment and this certainly triggers the beginning of the Roman Empire.

#2 The storyline

The Billion Dollar Slap is on its way

The fallout to what happened at TLC was certainly something fans were waiting on. And WWE did it by laying all their cards on the table. They got Stephanie McMahon and made her be the vicious heel that she is and after The Big Show, Reigns became the latest performer to be slapped by her consecutively, one by one by one.

He took all of it in his stride and was perfectly ready to be fired. But no, not so easy. They had Vince McMahon grace everyone with his presence and throughout the night he tried to put Reigns down.

In the end, he booked Sheamus vs Reigns , but with the caveat that if Reigns doesn’t win,A he would get fired...Vince McMahon style!

And then there was the main event. Roman Reigns superman punched Sheamus and even McMahon on his way to laying claim to his empire.

This was a good build up.

#3 Hot Damn!

The fight is on!

Kevin Owens vs Dean Ambrose has blockbuster feud written all over it. It’s upto WWE to utilize its full potential. And they did something about it tonight. They had Owens walk out and interrupt a really good match between Ambrose and Ziggler and get booed the heck out of the arena.

His promo, later on backstage, was also a step in the right direction. The feud continues and Owens vowed to drive Ambrose more insane than ever. Owens looked like he meant business. He pop up powerbombing Ziggler on top of Ambrose was a nice touch.

This feud needs to gain more steam and tonight was a good start in that direction.

#4 E-C- Dub

E-C-Dub! E-C-Dub!

It was great to have the ECW veterans like the Dudleys, Rhyno and Dreamer take on the Wyatt Family again after TLC. It was especially so because this happened in Philadelphia.

It was all about nostalgia and the right team again won. The ECW veterans came to put the tag team over and they did it in a crazy, hard-hitting match. The Wyatt Family have established themselves as a powerful tag team and their extreme match at TLC and RAW was good for what purpose it served.

#5 Respect

A New Day in the tag division

This needed to be acknowledged. The tag team division produced the best match out of a pleasantly surprising TLC PPV. The spots were risky and they performed everything with style and authority.

The New Day came out to show again that they are the best thing going around in the division right now and they respected the work they and their opponents put up last night. This can only mean better things for the future, as The Lucha Dragons and The Usos continue to grow on the main roster.

The New Day though, are still better as all round characters.
