WWE RAW - Top 5 shocking moments in the past 5 years

Yes, yes, the most shocking moment of the year is Undertakers streak getting broken. But that happened at Wrestlemania.Over the years, Raw has been the place for many shock waves. Ill just give you a quick recap- Eric Bischoff as the new General manager, Shane McMahon buying WCW, Santino Marrella winning the IC title, Edge and Litas Live Sex Celebration and so on and so forth.Here are the five shocking moments in the past 5 years.

#1 Edge retires

After defending his World Title against Del Rio, Edge made an unadvertised announcement on Raw. At the age of 37, Edge retired from professional wrestling. His injuries forced him to call it a day and that led to a moment of utter confusion (Is this an angle?), sadness (He’s really retiring!) and respect (Thank You, Edge!)

It turned out all of it was true and till date, he hasn’t competed as wrestler. It all brought a flashback to all his TLC bouts and the amount of wreckage his body went through. He was without further ado inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2012. He had a great connection with the WWE audience. If we only had time. . .

#2 Kharma reveals she\'s pregnant

Kharma was undoubtedly being pushed as the Next Best in the Divas Division. She looked stronger and much more experienced than most of the divas whose talents were clearly lacking inside the ring. She was set to take the divas division by storm. It seemed implausible to make her lose to something like Twin Magic. And a dream feud with Beth Phoenix might have been in the making.

Her pregnancy put all those hopes on hold and they are still at hold. She returned at the Royal Rumble a couple of years ago but nothing followed that return. There have been speculation now and then that shell return not today or tomorrow but someday.

#3 The Rock is back Home

February 2011, The Rock returned to be the guest host for Wrestlemania 27. It was a heavily guarded secret until maybe the final moments of the big announcement. But when his music hit the arena, it was just too surreal to believe that he was back after 7 years.

While Brock Lesnars return on Raw is also one of the most memorable returns, speculations had been quite rife and expectations were quite high.

Rocks return felt very much out of the blue to me.

#4 Seth Rollins is Plan B

The inspiration to this list has to be on the list. The Shield had overcome their differences and showed no cracks up until that moment of reckoning. There have been much speculation and discussion about how their split will or should happen but none of them were rife until it finally took place. The hounds were left for ruins by a hound himself.

#5 CM Punk Pipebomb

This month, this moment will turn three years old. In a matter of almost 7 minutes CM Punk turned his feud with Cena into something special. He sat there on the ramp and just simply spoke his mind. Some of it was scripted, of course but given that it is CM Punk, some of it, I believe, would have been unscripted too. It was like the start of something new. He spoke his mind and changed the product. The effects can be seen clearly now.

In a matter of 7 minutes his stock skyrocketed.
