WWE Survivor Series 2014: Predictions for all champions and possible opponents

Hell in a Cell proved to be a good pay-per-view for the champions as everyone who came in with the championship went out with the championship. Apart from the WWE Championship, all the other titles were defended at the pay-per-view as none of the challengers could strike gold. Now, the next big challenge for these champions comes in the form of Survivor Series where they will be met with new hurdles from the roster.WWE haven’t made any championship matches yet for the pay-per-view, but from the directions we’ve seen over the past couple of weeks it would be easy to assume where the champions are headed to. So here is a look at what all they have in store for Survivor Series and their possible opponents.

#5 Divas Championship - Retains

The WWE divas title scene was dominated by AJ Lee and Paige for the past few months. Both the divas were worthy of carrying the feud over that time but the fans soon got bored of the whole thing which made WWE end the whole thing at Hell in a Cell.

Paige is now busy settling the scores with her former best friend Alicia Fox while AJ has drawn battle lines with Nikki Bella. Nikki became the No.1 contender at SmackDown last week but the company is yet to say when she will get the shot.

Monday night Raw would be a good place for that but even if a title shot is given at the weekly flagship show, Nikki and AJ would have enough ammunition to face off at Survivor Series as well. Nikki however, is not going to end AJ’s reign since there is a big factor called Brie to watch out for.

Possible Opponent – Nikki Bella

#4 Tag Team Championship - Retains

It is a chaotic situation in the tag team division right now as the champions practically have no credible challengers. Usos are the best bet in a depleted division but having another Usos – Dust Brothers match might not be received well by the fans who have seen it over a million times already.

Los Matadores was a surprise inclusion into the picture last week. The bullfighters got a non-title win and are in the running once again. Having the Matadores face off against Dust Brothers in a traditional match would be attractive due to the goofy nature of the former, so the WWE would need to inject Usos back in.

A triple threat tag team match between the three teams would turn out to be solid but then again, Dust Brothers are the favorites to retain the championship.

Possible Opponents: Usos and Los Matadores

#3 United States Championship Drops

The United States title offers WWE with the best championship angle heading into Survivor Series. After the demolition of almost half the roster, Rusev has set his eyes on Sheamus in order to make the United States look bad.

Instead of Rusev just getting his wish fulfilled, WWE should’ve conducted some No.1 contenders match but since that didn’t happen, let’s just go with what we have in our hands.

Rusev is yet to lose since his Main roster debut and Sheamus doesn’t seem like the one who could do the job. Also, the Bulgarian brute would be able to get more heat by holding the championship making it the best option.

There is no other option apart from Rusev challenging Sheamus at the moment and if that happens, Sheamus is sure to end up losing the gold.

Possible opponent: Rusev

#2 Intercontinental Championship Retains

Dolph Ziggler and Cesaro did a great job in making the Intercontinental championship relevant again. The two had a series of solid matches for the championship and still had a lot left in their tank.

Feuding with Cesaro was a good thing for Ziggler as he constantly came out on top. He was also able to stand alone in that battle but WWE has given the Showoff a much more volatile platform by pushing him into the main event scene.

Ziggler’s association with Cena is going to suck him into the Survivor Series main event which means that we won’t probably see a title defense from him. Being in the main event is good for Ziggler but knowing the WWE, he is going to be booked badly amidst all the other big names.

Possible opponent – No defense

#1 WWE Championship Retains

Let’s just all take a moment to congratulate Lesnar on a three month reign in which he has only defended his title once. WWE should be already regretting their decision making Lesnar the champion as he is not even showing up for the pay-per-views.

With the No.1 contender John Cena booked for the traditional Survivor Series match against Team Authority, Lesnar is sure to pull off another absent mark in the attendance register.

And in case you don’t remember, the company just threw out the 30-day defense rule out in favor of Lesnar while it was relevant for certain names that worked their asses off week in week out.

It is one of those moments where we’ll hesitate to be proud wrestling fans as there are big mess ups like this going in the business.

Possible Opponents: Some popcorn and soda while sitting on his couch
