NXT Arena at Full Sail University in Orange County FloridaNXT is a breeding ground for future WWE stars. The stars of tomorrow get a chance to showcase their skills, and give fans a taste of what is to come in the future. Over the years, we have seen names like Bray Wyatt, Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins among others who have made an impact on the roster, straight out of the gate. But which stars of tomorrow are ready for the big stage today?
#5 Kevin Owens
Kevin Owens has not been in NXT for very long, but he has made a huge impact since arriving. Owens has targeted friend and NXT Champion Sami Zayn, letting the WWE fans know that he’s not taking a back seat to anyone and going straight to the top. For those who are not familiar with Owens, Owens became a international star wrestleing for PWG (Pro Wrestling Guerrilla), Ring of Honor, and many other independent wrestling organizations.
Owens is one of the best in-ring performers in the world, and he’s one of those wrestlers that, when he cuts a promo he draws fans in, and makes them hang on to every word he says. Owens has not been in NXT for very long, but he is certainly ready for main roster.
#4 Finn Balor
Finn Balor is one of the best technical wrestlers in NXT, and WWE today. Finn Balor also has something that cannot be taught, something that can sperate him from the pack, and that is presence.
A lot like Bray Wyatt, HHH, and The Undertaker, when Finn Balor enters an arena your eyes are glued on him from the very start. Finn Balor paints his entire body to express the dark place he is willing to go to win a match.
Balor before coming to WWE was an international superstar honing his skill in New Japan Pro Wrestling, and other independent organizations. Balor’s in-ring skill, and presence alone make him ready to join the main roster, and seing him compete with wrestlers like Daniel Bryan and Seth Rollins will certainly be fun to watch.
#3 Adrian Neville
Adrian Neville quiet arguably is one of the best high flyers in, not only NXT, but WWE today. Neville is another NXT star that honed his skills in the independent circuit, wrestling for Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG), New Japan, and Dragon Gate.
Since arriving in NXT Neville has been a 2-time NXT Tag Team Champion, and is the fourth ever NXT Champion. Neville won the title from Bo Dallas on one of NXT’s first live special NXT Arrival.
The past number of months Neville has been a part of some of the best matches ever in NXT. The Fatal Four Way at NXT Take Over where he defeated Tyson Kidd, Tyler Breeze, and Sami Zayn. Then his of matches with Sami Zayn, which quite honestly were some of the best matches of 2014.
Neville is one of the big reason why NXT is as popular as it is. There is no doubt that Neville has paid his dues, and he deserves a shot to showcase his skills on the main roster of WWE.
#2 Charlotte
The daughter of the 16-time World Heavyweight Champion, and 2-time Hall of Famer Ric Flair, Charlotte is quiet arguably one of the best female wrestlers in the world today.
Charlotte had one the best matches of all time when she defeated Natalya at NXT Take Over, becoming only the second NXT Women’s Champion ever.
Charlotte followed up the Natalya match, with quiet possibly an even better match, when she defended her title against Sasha Bank at NXT REvolution. It’s very rare, if ever, that you hear WWE fans chanting “this is awesome” or “this is wrestling” during a divas match, but what Sasha Banks and Charlotte did on that night earned the respect of the WWE fans.
Charlotte is probably the best female wrestler in the WWE, and there is no doubt that she deserves to be on the main roster of the WWE.
#1 Sami Zayn
The best way to describe Sami Zayn…well let’s put it this way watching a Sami Zayn match is a lot like watch a Daniel Bryan match, you probably don’t want to blink.
Zayn is easily the most popular star in NXT. Zayn grabs fans both with his emotion inside the ring and on the microphone.
Zayn began cutting his teeth in Ring of Honor, New Japan Pro Wrestling, and other independent organizations. Zayn since coming to NXT has had some of the best match’s in NXT history.
Zayn’s first break out match was with Cesaro in a Two out of Three Falls match. Zayn showcased his willingness to put his body on the line to give fans a match to remember.
A few months ago Zayn finally accomplished his goal when he defeated Adrian Neville at NXT REvolution for the NXT Championship. Sami Zayn is now at the top of the NXT roster and is ready to show that the top is where he belongs.
Sami Zayn may have just captured the NXT title, but fans would not be disappointed if he relinquished the title to move up to the main roster.Sami Zayn is a wrestling fans wrestler, and having him on Raw and SmackDown will greatly benefit WWE programing.
