According to reports, Paris Saint-Germain have revealed their plans to appoint Fabio Capello as their new manager.

This signing will set the ball rolling for current PSG boss Carlo Ancelotti, who will complete his widely-speculated move to fill the manager slot at Real Madrid.

Tottenham’s Andre Villas-Boas was also in the running for Capello’s position at PSG, but it was rumoured that the young Portuguese coach had resisted the propositions of the French club.

But the Russian national team boss’s stint with PSG is slated to be temporary as the Ligue 1 champions haven’t given up on their pursuit of the French manager Arsene Wenger, and might even strike up a deal with the current Arsenal boss once his contract expires at the end of the season.

With the former England coach making a move to Paris, there will now be a position left for Ancelotti to join Madrid. The former AC Milan manager has been linked with the Spanish club for a while now, but had always found it hard to carry on with negotiations as the PSG contract dictated strict terms.
