FAQs

The Colts originated in Baltimore where horse racing was a great sport and horses are greatly revered in the area. The original Baltimore Colts logo was a horse with a football and a helmet. The current Indianapolis Colts logo of a horseshoe was introduced in 1979. It symbolizes good luck, professionalism and stability. The horseshoe is also an ode to the origin city of the Colts.

The Indianapolis Colts home stadium is officially called the Lucas Oil Stadium. It replaced the RCA Dome Stadium as the Colts’ home field in 2008. The Lucas Oil Stadium is one of the most expensive stadiums in the NFL. The magnificent stadium features a retractable roof and a retractable window on one side too.

Indianapolis Colts’ main reason for shifting from Baltimore was that the stadium where they played was inadequate to host them. The Memorial Stadium in Baltimore was home to both the Colts and also the Baltimore Orioles of the MLB. Issues such as team revenue from the stadium also factored into the move of the Colts from Baltimore to Indianapolis.

The Indianapolis Colts major jersey colors are royal blue and white. The jersey also features a gray and black outline. The Colts colors have been the same ever since they were originally established as the Baltimore Colts.

You can stream any Indianapolis Colts game on the Indianapolis Colts app or the NFL Game Pass app. Colts’ games are also streamed on FOX Sports, or ESPN or CBS.
