The 2023 Davis Cup qualifiers will take place from February 3-5 as 12 teams will look to book their place in the finals, which will be held later this year.

Canada won the tournament last year by defeating Australia 2-1 in the final. Both teams have directly qualified for this year's finals, with Italy and Spain joining them after receiving wildcards.

The remaining teams who are ranked in the Top 16 of the Nations rankings will be up against 12 unseeded teams to decide who will compete in the Davis Cup Finals.

Davis Cup 2023 qualifiers: The highlights

Team USA won this year's United Cup by beating Italy 4-0 in the final. They will be among the contenders to win the Davis Cup and will be eager to win the tournament for the first time since 2007.

The Americans will take on Uzbekistan in the qualifiers, with the first match seeing Mackenzie McDonald take on Sergei Fomin. This will be followed by another singles clash between Australian Open semifinalist Tommy Paul and Khomoyun Sultanov. McDonald will then face Sultanov before Paul takes on Fomin.

The doubles fixture sees Rajeev Ram and Austin Krajicek lock horns with Sanjar Fayziev and Fomin.

Another highly-anticipated tie in the qualifiers is between Germany and Switzerland, as Alexander Zverev and Stan Wawrinka will be representing their respective nations.

Zverev is looking to gradually get back to his best after his ankle injury at Roland Garros last year and will look to make the most out of his two matches at the Davis Cup qualifiers. The 25-year-old will take on Wawrinka in what will be the second match of the tie. It will be the fifth meeting between the two players, with Zverev leading the head-to-head 4-0.

Cameron Norrie is the highest-ranked player to compete in the qualifiers and will be eager to help Great Britain beat Colombia and make it to the finals. The World No. 11 will play his singles matches against Nicolas Barrientos and Nicolas Mejia.

Last year's semifinalists Croatia, who are also the No. 1 team in the Nations Rankings, will also look to book their sport in the finals as they take on Austria.
