As we have already observed how Spain’s Rafeal Nadal struggled in his opening first round match win against unseeded German Daniel Brands till initial 0-3 down in second set Tiebreak after losing first set where Brands dominated Nadal by some strong serve & powerful forehands with some crisp volleys.If that match had staged at Wimbledon at grass surface Brands would have been winner in three straight sets against Nadal because Nadal was facing off Brands at his stronghold surface rather than German’s Brands worst favorable Clay.Rafeal Nadal remained very fortunate from any possible 1st round nightmare exit.But Daniel Brands game style exposed & dented Nadal’s confidence & approach openly despite at Clay at Court Philippe Chatrier mildly pace slow medium surface.
In Next round he will play to Martin Klizan though no match To Nadal,but Klizan good playerwho have some effective serve and forehand power by which he defeated Joe Wilfred Tsonga in 2012 US Open 2nd round.Klizan could give Nadal some trouble.But Nadal seems more favorite to meet either Fognini or may be his painful memories conqueror Lukas Rosol in 3rd round who gave him deep scar at last year Wimbledon in round 2 by unforgettable defeat at grass.More likely Rosol Nadal rematch duel expected ,if its happens then Rosol can create an upset again,because Rosol also better known for Indoor & Clay as well,if Rosol serves & produce his brutal forehand & backhand winners in same manner as he displayed in Wimbledon match then he can become major factor for a mega huge upset & rewrite history again but it also depends if Nadal serves kelow & his unforced errors rises to higher side than normal then Rosol will not need to win any Grand Slam to get sky high fame for what he if he could repeated same here after 11 months in same fashion.This could reappears if some bad day already written in destiny for Nadal can ruin defending Champion hopes & joy into an eternal agony & horrible experience against this unseeded player & unpredictable opponent.
If Nadal survives this test which he is obviously well capable then this won’t be given as credit because he will be dealing at his favorite surface where Rosol is just no match at dirt.4th Round Kei Nishikori or Richard Gasquet not seems to create any upset against Nadal so If Jerzy Janowicz reaches Quarterfinal then he could beat him after what Daniel Brands exposed Nadal’s draw back despite at his superior surface.Jerzy is such an explosive young gun & giant server who is having a monstrous forehand,great playing ability of deadly drop shots .Also Jerzy hunted two big names in Rome Maters recently where he did hunt Gasquet & Tsonga back to back.If both meet in last 8 clash Jerzi won’t be an easy opponent for him like Gasquet ,or may be Wawrinka,but because of so much talent Jerzi more expected to meet him in Quarters who possess such an aggressive style play & having already set some electrifying tennis marks since Paris Open till Rome Masters for desirable habit to hunt elite giants.
If Nadal reaches Semis after conquering expected opponent like Jerzi then he could possibly expected to play to his arch rival & hammering Novak Djokovic then that would be the match of year.Novak Djokovic has won his last 8 matches against 3 wins of Nadal,Novak very eager to avenge his lost against Nadal’s last year French Open Final which shattered his dreams to clinch all 4 Grand slams in a row must keeping an eagle eye over Nadal’s every flaws which recently exposed & visible to every one, his team & his close rivals despite some unreal comeback after 7 month isolation.This match could become reasonable factor to end his unprecedented commanding run at Roland Garros hopefully in 4 sets in favor of Novak.
If further we consider his chances to reaches Final where he could possibly expected Tsonga /Federer or Ferrer,he seems favorite whoever he will face,but if Roger Federer reaches in Final then what Federer tried to play differently against Nadal in Rome Final,he could change not only good fortunes for himself to break curse for not winning against defending Champion since he last time beat him in 2009 Wimbledon.but also will end the era & dream of Nadal to be first man to win any particular 8th Grand Slam Tournament.Federer’s different variety game though didn’t work in Rome Masters Final but his some shots troubled Nadal like the way he approached net to counter his rallies were positive,Federer need to serve well in variable directions,to play his inside out forehand & volleys with some disguised tactics ,more interestingly Roger played few shots as forehand pushed slicer which caused quite low bounce rather than his forehand routine shots,this particular creative attempted shot could earn Roger not only his 18 Grand slam but also can lodge long awaited grand win against Clay of King at his Fort base.if Roger & Nadal possibly clashes each other in finals The fairytale story won’t be same again for Nadal this time.
