Day one of the third Nike EYBL session in Indianapolis for the 2024 season has wrapped up, leaving basketball fans buzzing over 5-star recruit Tyran Stokes' phenomenal performance.

Playing alongside Bryce James and Kiyan Anthony, the sons of NBA legends LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony, respectively, Stokes dominated with an impressive stat line of 31 points, eight rebounds, and five assists in an EYBL game.

Stokes, a 6'8" forward and one of the top players in the 2026 high school class, showcased his exceptional combination of size, skill, and athleticism. He shot an astounding 12-17 from the field, including a perfect 4-4 from three-point range, while also recording one steal and zero turnovers in just 27 minutes of play.

His ability to bulldoze his way to the basket and knock down deep shots led one fan to exclaim:

The EYBL circuit this spring has seen Tyran Stokes dominate consistently, solidifying his status as a top recruit. His near-perfect performance on day one set a high bar for the rest of the weekend.

The session saw a relatively small number of games, with only four sets, but the intensity and talent on display were remarkable. College coaches, allowed to watch live, witnessed several of their top targets in action, adding to the event's significance.

LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony made an appearance at the Pacers Athletic Center, raising the event’s profile even more. The excitement will continue Saturday with games starting at 8:00 am EST and running until 6:30 pm EST.

Tyran Stokes joins forces with A.J. Dybantsa on Oakland Soldiers in the EYBL circuit

Tyran Stokes, the No. 1 recruit in the class of 2026, has taken his talents further along the West Coast this summer. Leaving the Vegas Elite Basketball Club behind, Stokes has joined Prolific Prep Academy teammate A.J. Dybantsa, the top player in the 2025 ESPN 100, on the Oakland Soldiers AAU team in the Nike EYBL.

The Oakland Soldiers have a rich history of producing NBA talent, including Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon, Stanley Johnson, and Houston Rockets guard Jalen Green.

In their first EYBL session in Memphis, Tennessee, Stokes and Dybantsa led the Soldiers to a perfect weekend. They won against Kevin Durant’s Team Durant and Thaddeus Young’s Team Thad, which has Jasper Johnson, the best point guard in the class of 2025.

Tyran Stokes won a gold medal for the United States at the FIBA Under-16 Americas Championship in Mexico. He had an average points per game of 10.3, rebounds of 4.8, and assists of 3.8 during the competition.

On the flip side, Dybantsa averaged 26.3 points in the first EYBL session, whereas Stokes made a substantial contribution by averaging 9.3 rebounds per game.

The pairing of Dybantsa and Tyran Stokes has quickly become one of the top AAU duos, combining elite scoring, rebounding, and overall playmaking.
