On Thursday, April 25, CEO Min Hee-jin was called for an emergency press conference following the ongoing conflict between HYBE and ADOR. For the press conference, she was seen wearing a green sweater with white stripes which she paired with black jeans and a purple cap.

Several clips of the press conference went viral on the internet due to many reasons including the claims she made towards HYBE's executives. Following the same, netizens were both shocked to notice that the sweater she wore for the press conference was sold out less than twenty-four hours after the livestream.

Netizens speculated that the reason might be due to how the press conference and the feud between HYBE and ADOR has grown to become a touchstone event in the K-pop industry. However, fans of NewJeans have another theory for the sweater, from Kelly Designs brand, being sold out. They drew a parallel between the sweater and the outfit NewJeans' Minji wore for the group's first-ever concept photos.

Minji paired a green and white striped sweater with grey shorts, a blazer, and a cap for the group's debut album release. Fans think that her outfit might be inspired by the group and might stand as a showcase of her support for the group she created amidst the ongoing conflicts.

Following the back-and-forth allegations HYBE and ADOR passed to each other, Min Hee-jin was present at an emergency press conference. The conference lasted over 11 hours and the ADOR CEO not only clarified her stance regarding the accusations HYBE made towards her but also made more claims on HYBE.

Some of these claims included her unfair compensation for NewJeans' commercial success, her being linked to HYBE Labels through a slave contract, and the alleged mistreatment of NewJeans. However, several clips of the press conference also went viral on the internet due to Min Hee-jin's actions, usage of curse words, her lawyers' reactions to her behavior, etc.

Slowly, the aspects of Min Hee-jin's press conference became a meme-able content for netizens. Also given that netizens were forced to come across clips from the conference at a frequent rate, her outfit caught the attention of several netizens. As a result, the sweater, from the brand Kelly Designs, was sold out just a few hours after the press conference's end.

What happened between HYBE and ADOR?

On April 22, HYBE held an audit on ADOR following its suspicions of Min Hee-jin for plotting to make ADOR an independent label outside of HYBE Labels. The audit revealed that the ADOR CEO and another executive, Mr. A, have been plotting on the same since the start of the same. They've not only been collecting confidential documents of HYBE to use as a threat but have also been spreading claims to pressurize the label.

Some of these claims included Min Hee-jin calling out the recently debuted K-pop groups such as RIIZE, TWS, and ILLIT, for copying NewJeans' aesthetics, marketing strategies, music styles, etc. Moreover, she also accused Band Si-hyuk, the founder of HYBE Labels and BigHit Entertainment, of stealing her idea and creating BTS. HYBE also released other pieces of evidence that showcased Min Hee-jin's behavior.

HYBE Labels called out her connection with a shaman consultation where she discussed company management issues. The interactions between her and the shaman included recommendations on key decisions for ADOR, information regarding BTS' military service, and also use of witchcraft towards the high-level executives of HYBE Labels.

While these claims were addressed by the ADOR CEO at the press conference, HYBE released another statement refuting her statements, once again pointing her out to be guilty of the cause of the ongoing feud.
