Tom Brady is all geared up to be the butt of the joke in Netflix's special The Greatest Roast of All Time. Set to be aired Live and uncensored on May 5, 2024, Brady seems ready to tackle abuse off the field in the trailer released on April 22.

In the promotional clip, host Kevin Hart can be heard in a voiceover announcing the show:

"The man, the arena, the Roast of Tom Brady Live on Netflix. No helmets, no mercy, no Brady rule."

The former NFL quarterback exuded an air of confidence as he defiantly responded:

"No f**king problem."

Widely regarded as one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, Tom Brady last played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before retiring in 2023.

He earned seven Super Bowl victories and holds numerous records, including most career passing yards, completions and touchdown passes, among others.

The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady, trailer and details explored

After spending years getting tackled on the field, NFL star Tom Brady was all set to take on a new kind of abuse in 2022 when the special was first announced. In a press release that year, he had said:

"To quote my good friend, Marshawn Lynch. ... ‘I’m just here so I won’t get fined.’"

In their announcement, Netflix referred to Brady as "Gisele Bundchen's husband" and "sixth round NFL draft pick and avocado ice cream aficionado." Then dubbed Greatest Roasts of All Time: GROAT, Tom Brady was to serve as executive producer alongside Casey Patterson, Jeff Ross and Carol Donovan.

Meanwhile, Netflix vice-president of stand-up and comedy formats Robbie Praw said:

"We can’t wait to burn three-time Super Bowl-losing quarterback Tom Brady, who only went back to the NFL in order to delay this roast.
"In all seriousness, it’s a huge thrill to work with the greatest football player of all time on this project. No one’s better at taking hits and still coming out on top, so we know the roast will be a breeze for Brady."

Initially expected to be released in 2023, the special project will finally hit the streaming platform next month. In the trailer released by Netflix, Brady is seen walking away from the Kia Forum in LA, California, as the arena bursts into flames with a sign on it that reads "GROAT."

"The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady, Live, hosted by me Kevin Hart with a lineup of surprise guests."

While the names of these "surprise guests" have not been revealed, comedian Jeff Ross makes an appearance in the trailer as he says to Brady:

"We’re coming for you, pretty boy!"

In response, the superstar athlete says:

"I'm unroastable. Let's go!"
