The unsettling incident unfolded at the end of the game, overshadowing what should have been thrilling on-ice action that saw Nathan MacKinnon break a tie with 3:25 left, leading the Avalanche to a 5-3 victory after overcoming an early three-goal deficit.

The episode came to light when a Twitter user, known as Jurassic 416, posted a video capturing the troubling scene. The footage reveals a Leafs security guard aggressively kneeing a fan on the head while simultaneously smashing the individual's face into the floor.

The use of the security guard's full body weight to stomp on the man's head has raised serious concerns and prompted an immediate backlash on social media.

As the incident gains traction online, MLSE is expected to face increased scrutiny and pressure to address the situation promptly.

In a stunning turnaround, the Colorado Avalanche bounced back from a 3-0 deficit in the first period to secure a 5-3 victory against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
