The Never Ever Mets: Ta’Rhonda checks in with Alexis after her altercation with Dominique

In The Never Ever Mets season 1 episode 2, titled, It's Complicated, IRL, Dominique and Alexis got into an argument that soon turned physical. The conflict began with Dominique accusing his girlfriend of flirting with the male cast members and she apologized. However, instead of accepting the apology, Dominique got aggressive and held Alexis by her neck.

He proceeded to push her more than once when she said he was being disrespectful. OWN TV's production crew eventually had to step in and separate the two. They then informed The Never Ever Mets star that Dominique was removed from the house and would spend the night at a hotel.

The next morning, the host of the show, Ta'Rhonda reached out to Alexis to have a conversation with her. She asked her how she felt and Alexis got emotional. The reality star explained how the events of the night unfolded and told the host that it was the first time somebody had put their hands on her.

"Our date was good, like, he was the person that I was talking to for six months. Like, he was good," Alexis said.

However, she stated that Dominique was acting differently when they got to the show and he started drinking. Ta'Rhonda told her that drinking didn't excuse his behavior and said that it was unacceptable. Alexis told the host that she was hurt and the latter played a video message from Dominique, in which he apologized for his behavior.

The Never Ever Mets star said he should have accepted Alexis' apology and stated that there was no excuse for him to "let it get to that level." Dominique said he wasn't upset with Alexis and hoped they could "sweep it under the rug." He promised not to act the same way again and hoped she would forgive him.

Dominique further said they should spend the rest of their time on The Never Ever Mets season 1 getting to know each other better. He added that since it was their first meeting, they were "still learning" how to be around each other.

"Let's do it man, be cool," he said.

Once the message ended, Ta'Rhonda asked her how she felt and Alexis said that she didn't like how Dominique made it seem like what happened wasn't a big deal. Alexis then explained that one doesn't really know an individual entirely until they meet in person regardless of how long they have spoken to them.

The host then reminded her about the show's policy and told Alexis that she and Dominique would have to leave.

The Never Ever Mets season 1 will return with another episode on OWN on May 3.
