YouTube star Trisha Paytas, who is pregnant with her third child, recently spoke about the online rumors of her unborn child being Pope Francis reincarnated. According to US Magazine, the 36-year-old YouTuber shot down the outlandish online theory during a recent episode of her podcast.

After the news broke on Monday, April 21, 2025, that Pope Francis, who had been the head of the Catholic Church since the year 2013, passed away at age 88, the American media personality weighed in on the ongoing theories, during the Tuesday, April 22, 2025, episode of her “Just Trish” podcast.

“I just don’t get it. First of all, I’m months away from my due date, not even close this time.”

The bizarre internet theory claims that Trisha Paytas is pregnant everytime a major public figure dies. The YouTube star, whose due date is reportedly around July, added:

“He’s not in the British monarch[y]. Is it just any influential person that dies gets to come reincarnated as my baby?”

Trisha Paytas, in her podcast, admitted that she didn’t get the theories about Pope Francis and her unborn child, and further added.

“If King Charles [III] died, I’d be like, ‘OK.’ The Pope is kind of far removed from Queen Elizabeth [II]. I don’t understand why my womb is carrying all of these souls."

Pregnancy theory of Trisha Paytas explored

The pregnancy theories of the YouTuber Trisha Paytas go back to her first pregnancy in 2022.

People on the internet have linked both her children being famous historical figures reincarnated, after her two pregnancies coincided with Queen Elizabeth II’s death in 2022 and King Charles’s cancer diagnosis in 2024.

Notably, she gave birth to her daughters, Malibu Barbie in September 2022, and Elvis in June 2024.

As per US Magazine, in a February 2024 TikTok, Trisha Paytas said:

“I get the meme of it all.. I was able to lean into the Queen Elizabeth one a little bit, but, like, it also terrifies me that people believe in it enough.”

Meanwhile, during the new podcast episode, cohost Oscar Gracey explained what the theory is. Gracey revealed that the theories centre around a “historic person of power” who dies around the time Paytas is expecting, and that “people kind of associate the two.”

While Trisha Paytas and her husband, Moses Hacmon, are yet to reveal the sex of their unborn baby, the co-host joked that if the child is born a boy, the couple will be unable to “escape the baby Pope allegations.”

In the podcast, she also noted that her favorite number is 88, the same age at which Pope Francis died, and continued:

“If it’s a boy, I guess so. I guess we’re naming it … Pope is not a bad name. Technically there’s girls named Francis, too. So we could have a girl [named] Pope Francis. My dad’s name is Francis, so. I’ll take the Pope, I guess. I guess that’s better than Charles.”

However, Moses Hacmon in the podcast alleged that reincarnation only happens in a specific window of 49 days. His wife then noted her due date, and the time frame doesn’t align.

“Sorry y’all. I wish the Pope could have hung in there a little longer.”

Meanwhile, Trisha Paytas and her husband, Moses Hacmon, announced in an Instagram post in March 2025 that they are expecting another child. She captioned the post:

“MAMMA MIA! HERE WE GO AGAIN! BABY #3 COMING JULY 2025.”
