Valorant is one of Riot Games' biggest accomplishments since it started making games in 2006 as an indie company. Maybe nobody expected the studio to get bigger after League of Legends became a global phenomenon. But with its 2020 FPS release of Valorant, Riot changed the landscape of first-person shooters.

Yes, playing this title is fun. However, let’s not forget that it’s young and has made great progress since its release. With fun mechanics and colors bursting from every pixel, the game keeps players engaged. And yet, perhaps there are still some things that could help make it even better, starting with a replay system.

5 things that could take Valorant to new heights

1) Replay system

With newer Valorant agents like Neon sprinting in, the action in this game is more fast-paced than ever. In a regular match, there's just so much happening with multiple agent abilities being used all at once. As such, sometimes, it can be hard to figure out what's going on.

Have you ever been dazed and blinded, and before you knew it, you'd already been downed? Instances like this make it important to have a replay system to help analyze what exactly happened before you went down and how to improve your gameplay.

This is why fans have been rooting for the introduction of a replay system for a long time now. Of course, it’s not easy to come up with a flawless system in a matter of months. But perhaps initially testing one out just for the VCTs would be a great starting point.

The feature can be made available to regular users once Riot has filled in all the gaps and holes. Now, that would certainly make Valorant a better experience for everyone (of course, unless you whiffed a whole magazine shooting at an alarmbot.)

2) A CS: GO-esque marketplace

A major difference between CS and Valorant involves trading. Riot's FPS shooter has introduced interesting concepts like the Night Market, where skins are offered at discounted rates. However, it's nothing like a proper trading system.

Trading skins with other players for other skins or money is one of the best things about CS 2. This, unfortunately, isn’t the case with Valorant. And that’s a shame because this title has some of the best cosmetics in the FPS world. A place to trade them would certainly engage the user base in ways never seen before.

3) Smoother graphics for low-end PCs

Valorant is a free-to-play game, and the best thing about it is that anyone can play it. But the game performs better on higher-end systems compared to those with less capable hardware.

If Riot can level the playing field a little bit more by balancing this title's graphics for low-end systems, it could make a world of difference. Those playing the title at 60 FPS often complain about lag and framerate issues even at the lowest settings. Some optimizations that keep such problems at bay could go a long way. It could also attract more users.

4) Custom gameplay is the norm

This title has unique gameplay mechanics that could take a long time to master alongside its gunplay. You don’t often get to see a character just fly over a box and headshot you with throwing knives in this FPS game. If you could customize a practice map specifically to practice such things within the game, that could help improve your overall accuracy.

One shouldn’t have to rely on external software or programs like Aim-Labs to practice these mechanics to their fullest extent. If players could start customizing maps and gameplay within the title itself, that would certainly make everyone practice harder.

5) Consistent gunplay

Valorant has inconsistent gunplay. With random spray patterns not being uncommon in the game, this aspect can be a bit underwhelming.

Do the efforts of planning out a whole round matter when someone 20m away can headshot you while running away with a Spectre? Such instances might bother many players.

Moreover, the game has guns that can do things they shouldn’t be able to do. Running and gunning still remains a problem that many complain about. Making burst or spray patterns a bit more consistent could help fix this problem.

Similar problems also plague the Phantom, which is a gun that can shoot someone down while on the run at a certain close range. Riot Games could certainly make some changes to Valorant's gunplay to ensure an even greater experience.
