Raw is Jericho!

Raw is Jericho!

Fort Wayne, Indiana will host the 996th edition of Monday Night Raw as we are just 4 weeks away from the special 1000th episode on July 23. This week’s Raw features the return of Chris Jericho after his 30 day suspension for denigrating the Brazilian flag during a WWE live event in Brazil. Unlike his earlier returns, this one was announced prior to his return without a countdown. It is speculated that Jericho might return as a babyface and get involved in a new feud with the likes of Dolph Ziggler or Cody Rhodes. Chris Jericho’s last run since his comeback on January 2, 2012 was disappointing, with Jericho going down in a majority of the matches, and not justifying the point of his comeback. Let’s hope Chris Jericho brings new things to the table in this return. Chris Jericho is expected to be a contestant in one of the Money in the Bank ladder matches at the Money In The Bank PPV.

Vickie Guerrero in-charge of the show (Off)

WWE board of directors informed last week that they would try out past general managers before appointing the permanent General Manager for Raw and Smackdown. After Mick Foley, it is Vickie Guerrero’s turn to run the show, this week. The heat magnet and her client, Dolph Ziggler, will rule the roost on this week’s Raw and Smackdown.

Here comes the pain? Probably not!

Last week on Raw, Paul Heyman turned down Triple H’s challenge to Brock Lesnar for a match at Summerslam. The Game and Heyman were involved in a scuffle. With Triple H advertised to appear on Raw, this storyline might be developed further. And for those eager to know when Brock will return, it can be assured that he will be back in the next few weeks in the lead up to Summerslam.

The WWE Championship squabble

Money in the Bank is just 3 weeks away and CM Punk still doesn’t have a No.1 contender for his WWE Championship. He is currently caught up in the AJ maze along with Kane and Daniel Bryan. I’m not sure if we’ll get a conclusion to this angle in the near future. It might probably extend until Summerslam where we might get another Punk-Bryan showdown.

John Cena on Raw?

John Cena disposed John Laurinaitis last week and is currently involved in no particular angle. He might get a new angle or continue his tirade against Big Johnny, who is advertised to appear on Raw to fulfill prior commitments. It is speculated that John Cena’s next feud will be with Tensai and we might get to see that angle start on Raw.

Money in the Bank match contestants

Big Show announced on Smackdown that he will take part in the MITB match. The remaining contestants might be revealed on Raw. As mentioned earlier, Chris Jericho might be one among them. Don’t be surprised if Ryback is included in one of these MITB matches. It will be interesting to see who the other contestants are. Qualification matches for these spots is a possibility and they might happen on Raw.
