3 major WWE rumours after the Superstar Shake-Up

The Superstar Shake-Up wrapped up with a bunch of major changes made to several WWE storylines. Roman Reigns was drafted to SmackDown Live and will not be muttering the words, "Universal Championship" anymore. In a surprising turn of events, Samoa Joe was drafted to RAW while Finn Balor made his way to SmackDown Live in what was also a switch of belts. Joe's United States Championship belt made it to RAW while Balor arrived at the blue brand with the Intercontinental Title. AJ Styles and The Miz were also drafted to RAW, and the former faces Seth Rollins for the Universal Championship at Money in the Bank.

There were call-ups from NXT, and many Tag-Teams split for some great opportunities for single's competition. Bobby Roode is now Robert Roode and seems set for a run that was always expected out of the former NXT Champion. Let's look at 3 equally glorious rumours flying around the internet after the Superstar Shake-Up.

#3 Becky Lynch to lose at MITB

With great power comes great responsibility
With great power comes great responsibility

It's really a big responsibility to carry two Championship belts on your shoulders. Becky 2 Belts, as The Man has been calling herself, will be defending both titles against two separate wrestlers at the Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View. Becky Lynch, who is currently listed as a SmackDown Live Superstar, will finally be drafted to RAW according to the rumours, after dropping the SmackDown Live Championship belt at MITB.

WWE won't be going ahead with the idea of a title unification and instead will be looking at Becky Lynch as a RAW competitor defending the RAW Women's Championship. If the rumour is true, it makes a lot of sense considering the kind of hype that Becky Lynch has around her. It will be difficult to not see Becky Lynch as a Champion, and all the while more difficult to see The Man bury other talented women wrestlers on the roster. Becky Lynch going to the red brand is a logical decision by WWE creative, now that she has defeated the baddest woman on the planet, Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania.

#2 Roman Reigns vs Randy Orton feud in the near future

The Viper vs The Big Dog

Tonight's SmackDown Live has confirmed another match for the MITB Pay-Per-View. Roman Reigns will be facing Elias, but the rivalry is supposedly going to be short lived as rumours suggest that Reigns might be involved in a major feud with Randy Orton.

Orton is an established name in the wrestling universe. He has taken SmackDown Live forward and is one of the biggest assets to any wrestling promotion. Roman Reigns was drafted to SmackDown Live in a not so surprising move, courtesy Seth Rollins becoming the Universal Champion, and it remains to be seen where Reigns will go from here. It looks unlikely for WWE to book Roman for the WWE Championship against Kofi Kingston this soon. The Big Dog is likely to take on Elias after he attacked him during his first appearance on the blue brand. Not many know that Roman Reigns was also involved in a dark match against Randy Orton after SmackDown Live went off the air.

This is an interesting scenario where The Viper could very well be a great nemesis for The Big Dog. The Wells Fargo's Centre website is also advertising Roman Reigns vs Randy Orton as one of the three matches being advertised for Extreme Rules 2019. It is an interesting buildup that started with a dark match and could be a great feud for the blue brand going forward.

#1 Money in the Bank Winner to finally have some meaning

Lesner threw the briefcase and Strowman never actually capitalized on the contract

WWE stopped taking Money in the Bank seriously ever since Brock Lesner became the Universal Champion and Roman Reigns worked relentlessly to get his hands on the belt. MITB 2018 winner Braun Strowman couldn't utilise the belt and Baron Corbin who won the MITB 2017 was also helpless in getting a chance at the Championship, belt even after climbing the ladder against five other competitors to get the briefcase.

This year though, things looks different. WWE is looking at making the winner of Money in the Bank contract look like a star as a correction to ruining it for the last two years. The last time the MITB contract was utilised properly was by Seth Rollins against Brock Lesner and Roman Reigns. WWE is looking to book the winner of the Money in the Bank match with some much-needed seriousness, to get the significance of the contract back to the WWE Universe.
