3 reasons why there could be a Shield reunion very soon

Will there be a Shield reunion, one last time?

The Hounds of Justice, better known as The Shield has been one of the most dominant forces in the history of WWE. The stable consisting of Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and the Big Dog himself, Roman Reigns who began their journey acting as the muscles for a heel CM Punk, later transformed into main-event names on the WWE roster.

However, as all good things come to an end, the group too got dissolved. And while there have been a few reunions in the last couple of years, they have failed to create the same magic the stable had at the start.

Nonetheless, the recent turn of events - Dean Ambrose leaving the company after the expiration of his contract in April, plus WWE teasing a potential reunion of sorts for Ambrose and Rollins on the last episode of Raw has left us with only one question:

Is there going to be a Shield reunion very soon?

Well, without further ado, we take a look at 3 reasons why there could be a Shield reunion in WWE very soon.

#3 Roman Reigns is expected to return sooner than later

Well, first and foremost, what do you need for the reunion of a stable?

All of its members, obviously.

The Big Dog who has been a vital cog of The Shield has been off WWE TV due to illness since late 2018. However, the recent update about his health has been positive, and as a matter of fact, he will be returning this week on Raw to address his health status and maybe give us a date for his potential return.

On top of that, he is also starring in a movie alongside The Rock and finished shooting a while back.

All in all, it seems the Big Dog might return sooner than expected, and the upcoming edition of Raw might confirm the same.

#2 WWE might have teased it this week on Raw

After asking Seth Rollins to 'slay the Beast', Dean Ambrose turned babyface two weeks ago on Raw.

However, WWE has started portraying him again as the same old "Lunatic Fringe" who was a vital part of the Shield. As a matter of fact, after losing a match to Drew McIntyre, this week on Raw, Ambrose asked Rollins why he did not show up, teasing a potential alignment in due process.

Thus, it seems the creative is pushing Ambrose as the Lunatic who does not give a damn and goes on doing things in his own unique and badass manner. And arguably, by teasing a potential alignment of the two former members of The Shield, WWE might have taken the first step towards a potential Shield reunion.

Given WWE teased a potential reunion of Rollins and Ambrose, and with Roman Reigns expected to return very soon, there is a high possibility that we could be in for a potential reunion of The Shield.

#1 Because it might be for the last time

It has become a well-known fact that Dean Ambrose will leave WWE after the expiration of his contract with WWE, this April. Thus, who would not like to see the reunion of one of the most dominant forces in the history of WWE for one last time.

With Roman Reigns expected to return very soon, creative could have the trio reunite for the very last time. Also, with Ambrose saying goodbye to WWE in April, this reunion could be short lived. Thus, WWE could have The Shield reunite to take down a heel Lesnar before WrestleMania 35 (that powerbomb through the announcer's table).

Also, WWE could go on to have them align once again and do their trademark fist bump for one last time, if and when Seth Rollins wins the title at WrestleMania 35.

Imagine that, how is that for a WrestleMania moment? The Shield doing a fist bump with fireworks going off in the background to end WrestleMania 35, now that's what is 'best for business'.
