4 WWE stars who should retire Triple H if he returns for one last match

What is your favorite Triple H moment?

For more than 30 years, Triple H took on some of the toughest and biggest stars in WWE history, with many of his matches heavily regarded as some of the greatest in company history.

Last year, The Game sadly hung up his boots after various heart issues stopped him from competing in the ring again.

However, as WWE fans, we can always dream of seeing him spitting water under the spotlight one more time. Join us as we take a look at four WWE stars who could officially retire Triple H.

#4. WWE's GOAT

During his career, The Game has faced many big names at WrestleMania such as Batista, The Undertaker, Brock Lesnar and Daniel Bryan. However, many would argue that his greatest 'Mania match was against John Cena in 2006.

Over the years, both men have gotten the best out of each other in the ring, with all of their matches being very memorable.

With Cena also now nearing retirement, what better way for both stars to hang up their boots than to have one last match against each other?

Speaking at the Fastlane Post-show press conference last week, Triple H commented on Cena potentially hanging up his boots soon.

"But I do recognize what John is talking about when he says he doesn't know how long he has. He's at an age [where] he's doing a lot of other things. I would just say this to everybody out there, revel in it. Because the appreciation level that John should get is off the charts." [H/T: Sportskeeda] (47:47 - 48:07)

#3. Student retires the Master

One of Triple H's biggest achievements in WWE was being heavily involved in the rise of Randy Orton, with a young viper being part of Hunter's Evolution stable in the early days of his career.

Fast-forward 20 years, and multiple world titles later, and Orton is seen as one of the greatest performers in the history of the company.

Last year, the company celebrated Orton's 20th anniversary in the WWE. Following the celebration, the Apex Predator took to social media to thank Hunter for everything he's done for him over the years.

"I know it took some patience with me in the beginning, but thank you for not giving up on me. I couldn’t have asked for a better mentor. Everyone that crosses paths with you in this business is better for it, whether it’s inside the ring or out. Thank YOU."

Given their history, both as teammates and as rivals, it would make a great story if Orton is the one to end his mentor's career.

#2. The Architect tears down Hunter's Kingdom

Like Orton, another big name that Triple H helped become a major star in the WWE is Seth Rollins.

After The Shield ended in 2014, Rollins and Hunter joined forces, with The Game aiding Seth in many of his victories. Years later, they faced off at WrestleMania, showing that they can also work well as rivals.

Despite their great working relationship now, Rollins revealed on Stone Cold's Broken Skull Sessions, that The King of Kings originally did not see top-star potential in him.

"Hunter [Triple H] took me aside and was like, ‘Look, I don’t see anything special in you. Three months later, I’m sitting in a room with Hunter and I’m saying, ‘I want that NXT Championship, I wanna be the first one to hold that title. Put it on me and this brand is off and running. If it goes another direction with it, then I don’t know where you’re gonna be in a couple of years.’ And I told him that. I said, ‘I’m the right guy for this. You know that I know that. Let’s bury this hatchet and let’s make this work." [H/T: TJR Wrestling]

#1. The Future arrives

Ever one to want to give opportunities to future superstars, another, and perhaps more surprising opponent that The King of Kings could face off against in his final match, could be the young upstart, Bron Breakker.

The son of the WWE Hall of Famer, Rick Steiner, has only been in the company for just over two years, but in that time, has won two NXT Championships, as well as worked with some of the biggest names in the company's history. Most recently, he shared the ring with The Undertaker, John Cena and Paul Heyman.

If The Game does want to lace up his boots one last time, then don't be surprised if he gives an opportunity to someone like Breakker.
