I pick the women likeliest to win the historic match in this article. Not only will this be based on betting odds, but also upon who stands to gain the most from cashing in. This article explores the potential and possibilities.

Special Mention: Sasha Banks

Even though Banks lost her spot, could she still bounce back?

Sasha Banks had an opportunity to compete for a spot at Money in the Bank last week. Unfortunately, she fell prey to an Eclipse from Ember Moon. That being said, I still think she could find her way back into this match. After all, nobody stands to gain as much as her from winning the contest.

Bear in mind that she's gone from being the top babyface among the women to one who doesn't even get a reaction these days. Banks needs to cash in and reclaim her heat one more time. All said and done, she's no stranger to the gold.

Is it any wonder that Banks is been touted as one of the likeliest women to claim the prize, despite the fact that she has been eliminated from contention altogether? Moreover, this could lead to a very interesting stipulation for a match against Bayley, where this briefcase is up for grabs at SummerSlam 2018.

Special mention: Becky Lynch

Can Becky Lynch finally win the big one?

Becky Lynch still gets a loud reception from the WWE Universe when she steps out to compete. However, the inaugural SmackDown Women's Champion has been booked as little more than a jobber in recent times. Could it all be leading to a big win at Money in the Bank? We certainly hope so!

In an ideal world, Lynch would defy the odds and give her fans a chance to finally cheer her to victory. I have a feeling that she's diminished in value in WWE's eyes!

#5 Ember Moon

Imagine this move delivered from the top of a ladder

Ember Moon won the first qualifying match for the Money in the Bank match. She delivered a double Eclipse to Ruby Riott and Sasha Banks on last week's episode of RAW. It is clear that WWE has a lot of faith in moon and may push her to the moon. Could this be the first milestone in her story?

Ember Moon does not have the physique or height of Charlotte Flair. She does not have the microphone skills or acting chops of an Alexa Bliss. To continue to be seen as a worthy competitor, she has to be booked in a very strong manner.

WWE can achieve the same by having her cause an upset and become the second ever Miss Money in the Bank. It would be interesting to see how she progresses if she has a rocket strapped to her back!

#4 Alexa Bliss

Alexa Bliss can do wonders with the Money in the Bank briefcase

Imagine this scenario. Alexa Bliss becomes the second ever Miss Money in the Bank. And then, she interferes in the Ronda Rousey vs. Nia Jax match for the RAW Women's Championship by cashing in her contract. This could lead to a very interesting women's title picture over time.

While the visual appeal of a match between Jax and Rousey seems interesting at first, both women are incredibly green. Alexa Bliss is no ring general, but she has experience as a champion. She can also bring a lot of heat into the program with her promos.

Moreover, the Money in the Bank briefcase seems suited for Alexa Bliss somehow. She could play the part of the sneaky heel to the very finest degree.

#3 Charlotte Flair

Charlotte Flair doesn't really need the briefcase, but is always a favorite in her matches!

Charlotte Flair ended Asuka's streak at WrestleMania. She's been on a sort of a slump since. She did lose her Championship to Carmella soon after. She lost a match to Carmella at Backlash shortly afterward, where she was pinned clean.

A victory at Money in the Bank could be a way for her to get her heat back once again. All said and done, whenever The Queen competes in a match, she's always the clear favorite.

Could Nattie cash in her contract on Ronda Rousey?

Natalya and Ronda Rousey have been portrayed as the best of friends on screen thus far. Anyone that has watched WWE knows that such alliances are only formed to have one woman turn on the other down the line. Considering that Natalya had a big hand in training Rousey, the two women are probably comfortable while working one another. Which brings us to Money in the Bank.

What if Ronda Rousey wins the title from Nia Jax at Money in the Bank! And just when she does, Natalya cashes in her contract and picks up the title. This would be a very interesting spin on things.

A cash-in like this will make headlines around the world. Mainstream media may be lured in because of Rousey's involvement too!

#1 Asuka

This may be the only way to get Asuka's heat back once again

Asuka was red hot when she had the streak. Ever since it was broken by Charlotte Flair, she has seemed quite directionless. The only way for her to be booked in a strong role could be to have her become the next Miss Money in the Bank. Could she get back to her winning ways once again?

It's a rare sight to see Asuka suffer a loss at all. Therefore, nobody will bat an eyelid if she wins the big one. Carmella will have a big target on her back then.
