5 things which could happen on SmackDown Live (04 December 2018)

The Phenomenal One!

AJ Styles is back!

Due to the fact that 'The Phenomenal One' is back to the house he built, the company would be looking at building up the show in a fashion where the superstar gets his championship opportunity, or a wonderful storyline.

AJ Styles lost the WWE Championship on the go-home show of Survivor Series, and that speaks volumes about the fact that the company is planning to make a heel Daniel Bryan feud with a babyface AJ Styles and uplift the blue brand which wasn't able to win a match at Survivor Series.

The 2016 Royal Rumble saw the debut of the most loved wrestler in the world, and his work has uplifted the show and the feuds he has been a part of. With the landscape of WWE SmackDown going through a change, there are a lot of things which could happen on the show, and here we list the top 5 things that could happen tonight.

#1 AJ Styles builds the match with Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship at TLC

Phenomenal Lock!

AJ Styles is the best performer there is on any brand and company right now. The wrestler has been a force to be reckoned with on Tuesday nights, and if the performance by the phenomenal wrestler is any indication, we can expect him to put on a show for the ages.

Alongside him, we have the former leader of the 'Yes Movement' who turned heel and has been on a path of living his character to the fullest. The wrestler was and is still loved by the WWE Universe, and if he decides to go on with his heelish storyline, we could be in for a wonderful buildup.

This could be a match that would keep the fans on the edge of their seats, and no one will blink an eye.

#2 Samoa Joe unleashes pain on Jeff Hardy

An Enigmatic Clutch!

Samoa Joe has been impressive in any and every feud he has been a part of. 'The Destroyer' didn't disappoint fans, and crashed Jeff Hardy's 20-year celebration, and his promo was the best we have seen in a long long time.

He took a dig at the management that hasn't given him the WWE Championship despite the fact that some other new up-and-coming wrestlers have received the title opportunity. Along with that, he questioned The Charismatic Enigma's drinking habits, and his troubles with addiction to liquor and other substances.

The promo is a hint that the performer will fight Jeff Hardy soon, but it also seemed like we may see the return of Brother Nero in the process. If this happens, then it would be a welcome change as the fans have been waiting for the character to return to WWE programming.

#3 Rey Mysterio attacks Randy Orton

Booyaka, Booyaka!
Booyaka, Booyaka!

Randy Orton has the upper hand in this feud that started after Rey Mysterio eliminated the former from the Greatest Royal Rumble. The match scheduled to happen at WWE TLC should be about Mexican pride versus the Orton legacy.

'The Viper' has been in a feud with 'The Ultimate Underdog', and the company has been trying to push it in a manner where it all comes down to heritage. The Viper has already shown signs of the same when on last week's episode of SmackDown he cut a promo with the mask in hand, and has vowed to remove the one on Rey Mysterio's face at WWE TLC.

After weeks of attack from The Viper, it is about time the Mexican superstar starts his attack on the third generation wrestler and evens the odds. This match will see a lot of high-flying moves, and this week's episode will set the tone for the same at WWE TLC.

#4 Rusev will get an opportunity at the US Championship at WWE TLC

The King of Wrong Style!

The feud that started at WWE Starrcade has now elevated to a different level, and it seems like the two wrestlers will fight it out at WWE TLC. The non-title match scheduled to take place between them on SmackDown last week was cut short due to an attack by Shinsuke Nakamura on Rusev.

The Bulgarian Brute has turned babyface, and ever since the change of character took place, the wrestler has been getting a lot of fan appreciation. His 'Happy Rusev Day' gimmick is loved by fans, and it is one of the most happening things on the blue brand.

Rusev has the style and charisma that makes him the perfect wrestler to hold the United States Championship. It would be a great idea if he gets the title opportunity at WWE TLC, and the same can happen this week with an announcement from Paige.

#5 Asuka cuts a promo on Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair

The Champion of Tomorrow!
The Champion of Tomorrow!

Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair have been in a feud since SummerSlam, and now that the two are involved in a match for the SmackDown Women's Championship along with Asuka, the stake of the championship and the match at WWE TLC are at an all-time high.

With the addition of Asuka, the predictable outcome of the match is now open to speculation, as there are multiple outcomes which could happen at the show. 'The Empress of Tomorrow' has been obscure since losing to Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania, and now she has the opportunity to climb the ladder and become the new SmackDown Women's Champion.

In an attempt to hype the match, Asuka could cut a promo which would be ended by Charlotte Flair, and then we may see the members of 'Four Horsewomen' unite to take out their common opponent, Asuka.

This would be a great storyline, and would be loved by fans.
