Over the last few years, Survivor Series has been a hit and miss Pay-Per-View. Though it's one of the "Big Four" WWE Pay-Per-Views of the year, Survivor Series hasn't felt more than a B-show event for the last number of years. Excluding 2016's amazing edition.

There are five different ways to make Survivor Series feel like a must-watch event that it should've always been. Survivor Series has to compete with the Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, and SummerSlam. It's usually the case that the November extravaganza comes in the fourth place.

What are the five ways that can make Survivor Series the best WWE Pay-Per-View of 2017? Let's take a look!

#5 The Shield stay reunited and face The New Day

The
The newly reunited Shield in 2017

The Shield have just reunited and it's the best program going on Raw. Assuming that "The Hounds of Justice" will win their return match at TLC, what's next? Will they split up again? will they take over Monday nights by storm?

If The Shield stays together, team them up at the very event that brought them the glory. All three members of The Shield have great chemistry when it comes to wrestling as a team.

Fully utilize their momentum and have "The Hounds of Justice" square off with another three-man team.

Speaking of three-man teams, the New Day was a part of a classic tag team feud recently. Bring them to tangle with The Shield and treat the fans.

The New Day lost against The Usos for the Smackdown Tag Team Championships inside "Hell in a Cell". Now that The Usos are busy with the team of Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable, there's nothing left for The New Day to do or accomplish.

Setting up a dream tag team match with the two most over factions in the last ten years would be an amazing way to promote Survivor Series as a legitimate super-show. Irrespective of the results, this match would be an absolute entertainment.

#4 Have Brock Lesnar defend the Universal Championship against (Demon) Finn Balor

It's very clear that Brock Lesnar will not be defending the Universal Championship at Raw's exclusive TLC Pay-Per-View. But the big unanswered question is if "The Beast" will compete at Survivor Series?

At least year's November extravaganza, Brock Lesnar was defeated by Goldberg in one minute and twenty-four seconds in the "Mega Match" main event. Lesnar's Survivor Series appearance in 2016 was his first since 2003.

With "The Beast" being 0-3 at Survivor Series, could this be the year that Brock wins the big one at the only "Big Four" Pay-Per-View that he's never had his hand raised at?

Meanwhile, Finn Balor hasn't done too much since his WWE return on the night after WrestleMania 33. In a meaningless feud with Bray Wyatt for a large portion of 2017, it's time for both men to find new rivals and storylines.

In Finn Balor's match is against Bray Wyatt at TLC, it should be announced as a Number One Contender's Match against Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series. At least the stipulation would make Wyatt vs Balor interesting.

With a big box office draw like "The Anomaly" and a fan favourite like "The Demon" in addition to Paul Heyman promoting the David vs Goliath encounter, "The Beast vs "The Demon" sounds very appealing for a marquee Survivor Series match.

Brock Lesnar vs Finn Balor for the Universal Championship has the potential to be one of the greatest underdog feuds of all time if booked and promoted under the right circumstances.

Survivor Series would be a can't miss if these two forces clash.

#3 Book John Cena vs Samoa Joe

The last time John Cena was in a match, he was clearly defeated by Roman Reigns. After the match, "The Leader of the Cenation" looked like he's on the verge of retirement. But since then, John Cena has denied that he's retiring from the squared circle that has raised multiple questions on when "The Face That Runs the Place" will make his in-ring return.

On the other hand, Samoa Joe has been recovering from a knee injury and was missing from any Pay-Per-View since competing for the Universal Championship in SummerSlam's main event. With Joe due to return very soon, there should be a Survivor Series program awaiting him.

Joe has never competed at Survivor Series, and Cena hasn't been featured at the last two events. This match would be fresh for both men as well as for the WWE fans.

With Cena being one of the biggest draws in WWE history and Joe being a well-rounded veteran still in his prime, a match between these two superstars would be a huge spectacle.

If "The Champ" locks horns with "The Destroyer" at Survivor Series, expect a hard-hitting and even affair.

#2 The Miz up against Kurt Angle

The Miz and Kurt Angle in a confrontation on Raw

One way to get fans excited for Survivor Series is to have Kurt Angle finally compete. Fans have wanted to see Kurt Angle in action ever since he made his return to WWE earlier this year to get inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

The Miz would be an ideal choice for "The Olympic Hero" in his first match for a couple of reasons. One of them is that there's a storyline tension between both The Miz and Kurt Angle. Another reason is that "The Awesome One" is a very safe worker.

Though The Miz is not the most popular choice for Kurt's first match back, "The A-Lister " against Kurt Angle would be a great way to take the pressure off "The Wrestling Machine" and not insert Kurt into a huge match right away.

Survivor Series will receive a massive boost if it's announced that Kurt Angle is making his in-ring return to have his first WWE match in over eleven years.

#1 The traditional Tag Team Elimination match and Triple H's return

<p>
Team Raw vs Team Smackdown at Survivor Series 2016

The traditional Tag Team Elimination match has been one of the main draws at Survivor Series. Like last year, the famous match should be used as a big draw for this year's show as well.

Shane McMahon and Kevin Owens have feuded ever since Owens made his switch to Smackdown during the Superstar Shakeup. Recently at "Hell in a Cell", Kevin Owens defeated Shane McMahon in a "Hell in a Cell" match with Sami Zayn's assistance.

It's is given that Vince McMahon will eventually make his return to WWE TV to address Kevin Owens and he will announce that Shane will get his retribution at Survivor Series in the Tag Team Elimination match. There's the Survivor Series main event!

There's no doubt that Kevin Owens vs Shane McMahon has been the best feud on Smackdown since the Superstar Shakeup. If there is another match involving the two then Shane can get his revenge on Sami Zayn as well.

Team Kevin Owens consists of "The Prizefighter" himself, Sami Zayn, Baron Corbin, and Rusev.

Team Shane McMahon consists of "Shane O Mac", AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Randy Orton.

Right before the end of the match, Triple H can make his long-awaited return and it looks like he's going to take down Shane. Instead, "The Cerebral Assassin" drills Kevin Owens with a pedigree for attacking Vince McMahon.

From Survivor Series onward, Triple H can the begin a WrestleMania 34 program with Kevin Owens.

Like the plot? Well, imagine if it all comes true.Would you miss the Survivor Series then?
