6 Dream matches for Roman Reigns if he returns to the WWE

Roman Reigns was forced to leave the WWE and drop the WWE Universal Championship last year after announcing that he was ill. However, reports suggest that he is doing much better. A report yesterday said that WWE may even be planning the storyline for Reigns' return.

I wanted to take a look at some dream matches waiting for Roman Reigns when he returns to the WWE. The list includes Superstars from both the main roster and from WWE NXT.

#6 Dean Ambrose

This one depends a little on Reigns coming back in time for Mania

This one depends totally on when Roman Reigns returns to WWE. However, I'll add this to this list as a dream match. If Roman Reigns somehow returns to WWE before WrestleMania and Dean Ambrose does indeed leave, imagine his last match being against his best friend.

Dean Ambrose has often spoken about how close he is to Reigns and has called him his "road wife" in interviews. This would be a great way for Ambrose to call time on his WWE career. What an emotional match that would be.

#5 The Rock

Could The Rock wrestle again?

This one is probably one match we're all waiting for but will never get. If Roman Reigns returns to the WWE and The Rock wants one last WWE match, this is the one WWE needs to give us.

When asked about a possible match against The Rock before he left the WWE, this is what Reigns had to say:

“I think [Rock would] be down with it…If it’s good for business, if it’s good for my career, I don’t see why not. If it’s all positive and he’s with it, I’ll take a slap punch, Rock Bottom me, baby…just let me kick out at two.”

#4 Andrade

Andrade is another former NXT star we should keep an eye on. He has everything it takes to become WWE's next big Latin star in the vein of Rey Mysterio.

Andrade has proved he can hang with the best of them in both NXT and on SmackDown with matches against Johnny Gargano, Drew McIntyre, and Rey Mysterio. His match against Gargano also won the NXT Year-End Award for best match.

Andrade and Reigns could tear the house down if given time and opportunity.

The twisted and narcissistic NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa seems all set to be the next big heel in WWE. His main roster debut on RAW and SmackDown earlier this week alongside Johnny Gargano went down well and they both seem set for a bright future in WWE.

Ciampa needs to show what he can do on the biggest stage possible and a match with Roman Reigns could be the catalyst he needs to cement himself as a top star.

To my knowledge, Rey Mysterio and Roman Reigns have never gone one on one in singles action. This one is a true dream match. With the right opponent, Roman Reigns is an incredible performer and Mysterio certainly fits that category.

Mysterio is in the best shape of his career and has been putting in some fantastic performance on SmackDown Live. If Reigns returns, this one is a marquee match that is waiting.

Former WWE NXT Champion, Aleister Black recently made his debut on RAW and SmackDown and definitely made an impression. Black has the ability, the charisma and what sets him apart even further is his character.

He has everything it takes to be a future WWE Champion and a great way to cement him as someone to keep an eye on would be a singles match against Roman Reigns - a former Royal Rumble winner and a 4-time world champion.
