5 best chants from the Raw after WrestleMania

One of the exceptional signboards from Raw after WrestleMania

For a long a time now, the RAW after WrestleMania has been extraordinary, so much so that some people like the Raw after WrestleMania even more than WrestleMania itself. The reasons include brilliant matches, surprises that include debuts and returns, and of course the crowd, which even WWE has become to acknowledge.

The RAW after WrestleMania features the best crowd we see in the entire year. With their chants, the crowd can make or break a segment. Superstars generally have to think on their feet and react to the chants. And of course, the best chants can be heard on the RAW after WrestleMania as the crowd generally consists of seasoned WWE fans, as opposed to newer fans and kids that generally turn up for most other RAWs.

Here are 5 of the best chants from the night after WrestleMania.

Honorable mention: Singing along to Mr.McMahon and Sami Zayn’s themes.

Samy Zayn enjoyed the crowd’s adoration on the Raw after WrestleMania

The crowd sang along to Vince McMahon’s theme as he entered and continued for sometime after it ended. There were several other chants that made Vince McMahon acknowledge them and call it “a crazy crowd.” What was special about this chant was that it was for a heel and they were almost respectful towards the Chairman.

The singing along to Sami Zayn’s theme was even more vocal and it showed how much they love and admire one of the brightest talents in WWE today.

“You still got it”/ Strong contender- ”Let him run it”

Shane O Mac produced one of the best matches of WrestleMania 32 along with The Undertaker and the crowd left no stone unturned in letting him know that. Even though he’s not getting any younger and it has been quite sometime since he has wrestled in a ring, Shane O Mac is still capable of producing amazing matches.

It was heartening to see the crowd appreciate what Shane O Mac had put himself through for our entertainment. The crowd even believed that he is better than the much younger current WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Roman Reigns.

“He’s got the whole world in his hands” Strong contender- “Thank you, Wyatts”

This is the line that the entire arena was reciting in praise of Bray Wyatt, while the Wyatts were beating the holy hell out of the depleted League of Nations, who had just kicked King Barret out. The leader of the Wyatt Family used to sing this song during his feud with John Cena.

They also went on to thank the Wyatts for bringing an end to the bore-fest that the League of Nations were beginning to start.

Booing Roman Reigns

That, Roman Reigns is not the most loved WWE Superstar is pretty clear. If the WWE was looking for a strong message from the fans that Reigns should not be the Champion, they should have stopped right there.

Not only did the fans very vocally and mercilessly boo him as he entered the arena, they also booed every time stills featuring him from the previous night were shown on the titantron. They made their feeling towards Reigns very clear.

It will be interesting to see how The Rock’s cousin is booked.

“Woo! Woo! Woo! You deserve it”

“Woo! Woo! Woo! You know it!

No points for guessing to whom the crowd was referring. Zack Ryder had finally won the Intercontinental Championship the night before in the Ladder Match. Zack Ryder has a lot of admirers in the WWE Universe and social media, and they were glad that he finally became the Intercontinental Champion.

Zack Ryder did deserve a good run with the belt, but WWE has been coming up with inexplicable stories lately, so what happened later that night was not entirely surprising.

“Ayy we want some New Day”/“Ayy we want some Bayley”

New Day Raw
New Day Rocks

It was very hard to choose between these two chants, so I included both of them. The chants is of course a reference to a song whose title is a little to explicit to be mentioned here. The New Day have become brilliant entertainers and their segments are fun to watch. The crowd was right, we did want some New Day.

The crowd decided to let the WWE creative know that they wanted to see Bayley compete on the big stage during the segment featuring the WWE’s female Superstars, including the newly crowned WWE Women’s Champion, Charlotte. Bayley does deserve to move on to the main roster and compete for the biggest prize in women’s wrestling today.
