WWE.com has reported that Braun Strowman injured his rotator cuff after his match with Roman Reigns at Payback on Sunday night.

Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns were absent from this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw. Raw General Manager Kurt Angle gave an update about the Superstars and said that both of them were injured after the match at Payback. The WWE Hall of Famer also went on to say that both men weren’t done with each other.

WWE has confirmed the statement from Kurt Angle via a report on their official website. The report notes that Reigns has some internal injuries.
Strowman, meanwhile, reportedly has a torn rotator cuff. The report went on to add that Angle is working with the WWE officials to figure out “how to best proceed with this ongoing, escalating situation.”
What’s next?
From what Kurt Angle said, the storyline between Strowman and Reigns is far from over. When these two are cleared to compete again, expect Reigns and Strowman to lock horns once more.
There are rumours about another match between the two taking place at Extreme Rules. What Angle said on the latest episode of Raw points towards such a match as well.

While it’s clear that the injury of Reigns is a kayfabe one, the case with Strowman is confusing. He did have a freak accident with the ambulance at Payback and could be suffering from a legit injury. But it is unlikely to be a serious one like the torn rotator cuff. We are bound to get a better picture of the whole situation in the coming weeks.
