CM Punk tweets on wrestling again, promoter wants Punk to face Samoa Joe

Punk continues to train for his UFC debut

Although he claims that he has shut the door on wrestling, former WWE Champion and current UFC Fighter CM Punk didn't refrain from posting a few light-hearted tweets about wrestling again on Thursday night.

Samoa Joe, who debuted on WWE NXT this week, is booked to face indy star Johnny Gargano at this weekend's Absolute Intense Wrestling show in Cleveland, Ohio. AIW co-owner John Thorne tweeted jokingly that he would cancel Johnny Gargano from the show if CM Punk willingly came out of retirement to face Joe at the show.

Punk replied with a simple "How much?," Which prompted AIW to post a tweet, again joking that they'd need to crowdsource to afford CM Punk, who has been out of the ring since his last WWE appearance at Royal Rumble 2014.

The two sides went back and forth, in tweets you can see below. CM Punk and Samoa Joe haven't faced off in nearly ten years, since their time in ROH. As of now, CM Punk continues training at Roufusport in Milwaukee in preparation for his UFC debut.
