5 Superstars That Could End Asuka's Undefeated Streak

En
Asuka was the sole survivor of Team RAW at Survivor Serie

All good things must come to an end, and much like Daniel Bryan finally ended The Shield's undefeated streak during an episode of Smackdown, so too must Asuka's. Of course, that's probably a long time from now, and the honour will certainly be given to a superstar who WWE heavily invests in long-term, but its never to early to start planning ahead.

With that being said and fact that Asuka won't take long to run through the main roster women's division, here are five ways The WWE can choose to end her coveted undefeated streak without hurting her too much. In the regard, breaking the streak will have some consequences and might take the wind out of sails a bit, but it could also build up to something bigger.

#5 - Bayley

Bayley
Bayley had two amazing matches with Asuka in NXT

WWE has yet to tease this match since Asuka's main roster, but the history between the two in NXT is certainly reason enough to have this match again. What makes this the perfect reason to end Asuka's streak, however, is the fact that it gives Bayley redemption to never being able to beat Asuka between the two and also elevates The Hugger to her former top star status.

Not only does this elevate Bayley in the best way possible, giving her a big victory when it matters most, but it would also be a meaningful way to end Asuka's streak and allow a nice payoff to a long-term story. It could even be a great way to continue a career-long rivalry between the two future Hall of Famers.

#4 - Nia Jax

Nia Jax

It's no secret that WWE isn't using Nia Jax to her fullest potential. In fact, from her time in NXT to her current run on the main roster, Jax has been passed over time and time again in favour of more popular talent. Unfortunately for Jax, this has forced WWE to humanise her and turn what once was a legitimate threat to a title to someone on the sidelines in a storyline with Enzo Amore.

WWE needs to stop this trend and the best way to do that is to have Jax dominate Asuka in a similar way to how Brock Lesnar dominated John Cena two years ago at Summerslam. Of course, WWE could wait until Asuka has the title in order to do this, which would only add to the impact and could cement Nia Jax as a top star in the WWE Women's division.

#3 - Charlotte Flair

Charlotte Flair
Charlotte Flair would be a very likely pick to end Asuka's streak

While some fans might shiver at the thought of Charlotte Flair being handed such a monumental accolade, especially with everything she has already accomplished in the squared circle during her career, she is currently one of the only superstars on the roster that could believably beat Asuka. This would undoubtedly catapult her career to legendary status.

Of course, much of this will be contingent on how WWE would decide to book something like this, but the best way to go would be to have Charlotte lose a title to Asuka and then chase it for a while. This could turn into an obsession for the former Women's champion and help give their matches a great sense of intensity.

WWE could even align Asuka with a returning Authority and have them help protect her streak, which would be believable since Asuka is an important name for the company and her streak being broken would damage her stock greatly. It would also be a great way to draw heat from fans and help ease them into the idea of the streak being broke

This would lead to one final showdown between Asuka and Charlotte for the title, with Charlotte finally winning after months and months of obstacles by the Authority. In the end, it would be a cool way to end the streak, keep fans entertained along the way and catapult both superstars.

#2 - Paige

Paige,
Paige made her triumphant return to WWE recently

This is probably a dream match for many wrestling fans and there is a pretty good reason for that. Not only have Paige and Asuka never crossed paths during their time in NXT(As Paige left NXT long before Asuka joined) but they also both utilise submission-based manoeuvres that would make for a great match.

Why Paige, though? Beyond this being a dream match for The WWE Universe, a win over Asuka on the main roster would be a great way to put Paige's career back on the right trajectory and establish her as one of the greatest female heel stars the company has ever laid eyes on. Also, don't forget that despite seeing her on TV for a while, Paige is just 25 years old!

Yes, it is risky in the same way that having Reigns defeat The Undertaker at WrestleMania 33 was, but it could pay massive dividends for both superstars if done the right way. In fact, WWE could probably have the two superstars trade victories and the title for months and it would be absolute must-see television, thanks to their intensity and in-ring ability.

#1 - Ronda Rousey

Ronda Rousey
The Future Of The WWE, Ronda Rousey?

No one is ready for Asuka!

That might be a cute catchphrase someone in creative came up with during her hay day in NXT, but it has no basis in reality when it comes to former UFC fighter and Bantamweight champion, Ronda Rousey. Although Rousey hasn't even made her WWE debut yet, shewould probably be the most believable option to end Asuka's streak on this entire list and one of only two that could do it in a squash match.

Of course its ultimately up to WWE how to book a blockbuster feud like this, but with there already being rumors of Asuka versus Rousey happening at WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans, this is by far the best and most believable chance that WWE has to end Asuka's streak and not take a lot of heat over it.

A lot of that has to do with how thrilled fans will be to finally see Ronda Rousey in a WWE ring, but it would also be believable in the sense that Rousey could easily manhandle Asuka and make it look legitimate in the process. Sure, WWE could give the two a solid back and forth match, but in the end, it would be more believable to see Rousey overpower Asuka.
