How WWE could revive Adam Rose by making him the next Mick Foley

Adam Rose: Already struggling?

No creative direction for Adam Rose

Adam Rose made his main roster debut with a heavy burden of expectations on his back as his character was a big hit in WWE NXT. And like most of the situations that we have seen in the past, the expectations are starting to take a toll on the WWE Superstar, so early into his career.

The party loving gimmick had all the potential to be a good mid card act for the company but the lack of time spent on giving the 34-year-old some creative direction has to be pointed out as the company’s failure.

Current bookings of Adam Rose by WWE are doing no good

Taking all the gloss away from the over the top character, the South-African is an experience wrestler in the ring who is capable of wrestling various styles. He has a wealth of experience that most of the other superstars doesn’t have giving him the basic platform of a credible push.

The idea of Rose is to let him get aggressive once he is in the ring. At NXT it worked well as the fans enjoyed seeing wrestling rather than the angles, in contrast, the main roster fans are the ones who enjoy a bit of salt and spice between all the matches.

Current antics of Adam are apparently doing no good for anyone and WWE has to think of a new way to present the superstar to the WWE Universe.

Let Rose be the next Mick Foley

One way in which they could do that is by letting him rip off the multiple personality thing that Mick Foley used to deliver. Foley is a vocal supporter of him and wouldn’t mind seeing Rose depict something similar to what he did in his prime.

The characters Dude Love, Mankind and Cactus Jack were diverse in various aspects and Foley had the talent to make all three a success as well.

Mick Foley can be the inspiration for Adam Rose

Back to Rose, he was someone who had this rough South African gimmick named Leo Kruger back in NXT before he transformed to the party animal. Kruger was an effective in ring performer and had a lot of time to concentrate on the action rather than the gimmick.

It was a completely contrasting character to what he performs now however he didn’t have much trouble adapting to the change. The success of the Adam Rose character in NXT is the biggest proof of Rose knows how to transform well and WWE could use this in the main roster as some sort of tribute to Mick Foley.

New characters for Adam Rose needed

Instead of three characters, Rose could be depicted in two characters which are at extreme poles. Having a character where he can show the fans how capable he is will help grow as a wrestler and answer his critics backstage.

The real face of Adam Rose that has to come out

Also the company will be having a good midcarder with a backstory to tell if they want to have him as a single superstar with a multiple personality. Else, Rose and Kruger could be projected as different wrestlers who would add depth to the roster.

Either way, the first thing that WWE would have to do will be to let give Rose some angle to work on rather than randomly booking him with irrelevant superstars.

He could easily strike up feuds with the Alberto Del Rio, Dolph Ziggler or any of the under used midcarders and in turn help them to flourish as well.

This might be one of those extreme options that the WWE has at the moment when it comes to Adam Rose, but if they are going to sit simply without letting Rose have some development, then the WWE might be releasing another talented name in the near future without properly utilizing him.
