In a recent live event to promote SummerSlam, WWE commentator Jerry “The King” Lawler asked WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair about his favorite WrestleMania moment.

“Well, the sad thing about my favorite WrestleMania moment is [that it was] the day that I had to retire,” Flair said. “But I cannot deny the fact that being inducted into the [WWE] Hall of Fame and wrestling Shawn Michaels [at WrestleMania XXIV] was my favorite WrestleMania moment.

Flair faced Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania 24 in one of the most classic Wrestlemania encounters ever with Flair’s career on the line. Michaels won the match, putting an end to Flair’s illustrious career.
