WWE Superstar Baron Corbin recently praised John Cena for his recent stint with the company.

Cena returned to WWE on the September 2nd edition of Friday Night SmackDown. Since then, he has been butting heads with The Bloodline. In fact, he teamed up with LA Knight at the Fastlane Premium Live Event to take down the combined might of Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso.

In an exclusive interview with Chris Van Vliet of Insight this week, Corbin mentioned that up-and-coming stars like Grayson Waller would love to be in the ring with John Cena.

"It's amazing for the superstars like a Grayson Waller. Like, I don't think he ever sat there and be like, 'Man, I'm gonna be in the ring with John Cena.' That's just not something you think about this day and age, because you don't. Cena is a movie star. What he's doing is incredible. And the level he's reached is amazing. So you're like, no, he's not going to come back and wrestle."

Corbin mentioned that with Cena's busy schedule, it was impossible for him to return, and even if he did, it would be against the top stars. However, he praised the 16-time champ for giving back to the industry by working with younger stars and giving them the rub.

"And if he does, it's going to be Roman. And it's going to be Seth. But John is so giving back to this, this industry, this business, because he loves it with every bit of what he does. And I've soaked up an immense amount of knowledge from John and I see John on a regular basis because I go to his gym, and we talk or we've been to dinner and his mind for this is just leaps and bounds above 99% of the people in this in this industry." John Cena laid out Solo Sikoa last week on SmackDown

This past Friday on SmackDown, John Cena came down to the ring and spoke about his singles record of late. He mentioned that his last singles victory came back in 2018.

Cena started doubting himself and wondered whether he should continue. However, he soon eliminated the self-doubts and issued an open challenge to anyone in the back to come out and fight him. Solo Sikoa walked out to accept the challenge. In the chaos that followed, Cena laid out The Street Champ with an Attitude Adjustment.

It will be interesting to see what happens this week when the two stars meet once again this Friday on the blue brand.
