An unfortunate piece of news has come to light as a title contender has now joined the list of injured WWE Superstars on the roster. That would be Ivar, a member of The Viking Raiders, who was attacked by Gallus on the latest episode of NXT.

Ivar was a part of several high-profile matches, which included a spot in the Stamford-based company's number-one contender's tournament on WWE Speed. The company recently revealed on X/Twitter that Apollo Crews will be replacing The Viking Raiders member in the number-one contender's tournament and will be facing Tyler Bate in the semi-finals on WWE Speed.

“With @Ivar_WWE sidelined due to injury, @WWEApollo has received a second chance in the No. 1 Contender’s Tournament and will face Tyler Bate in the Semifinals this Wednesday on #WWESpeed!" WWE shared.

Check out WWE's tweet below:

Ivar defeated Apollo Crews in the previous stage of the Speed Tournament. However, Crews now has a major title opportunity in his hands.

Along with the Speed Tournament, the injured 40-year-old star also lost the opportunity to compete in the number-one contender's match for the NXT North American Championship. So far, the Stamford-based promotion has not announced who will be replacing Ivar in the Triple Threat Match against Wes Lee and Josh Briggs.

With this development, both members of The Viking Raiders are now injured and out of in-ring action. Notably, Ivar will be out indefinitely due to his injury and is receiving serious medical attention.

WWE Superstar Ivar seeks help from a famous medical facility

Renowned orthopedic clinic Andrews Sports Medicine recently posted a picture on X/Twitter, wherein WWE Superstar Ivar shared the frame with Dr. Andrew Cordover.

Notably, Ivar has suffered a spinal injury. Moments before he was attacked, Wes Lee and Josh Briggs were talking about their injuries and how they had to lose title opportunities because of it. Now, The Viking Raiders member has also suffered an untimely injury when he was close to potentially winning the NXT North American Championship.

While he may be out of commission now, Ivar will look forward to returning as soon as possible and laying claim to the title once again.
