Roman Reigns is a mere seven days away from surpassing a legendary superstar's WWE milestone.

Roman Reigns won the Universal title at Payback 2020. It has been 1230 days since the night when The Tribal Chief's iconic reign kicked off.

On January 21, 2024, Reigns will complete 1238 days as Universal Champion, thus holding the honor of the fourth-longest World Title reign in WWE history. For those unaware, Bruno Sammartino currently holds the record of the fourth-longest World Title reign in WWE, at 1237 days. Sammartino's reign lasted four years, during 1973-77.

Who would be Roman Reigns' next targets?

Reigns is set to face Randy Orton, LA Knight, and AJ Styles in a Fatal Four-Way match for the Undisputed WWE Universal title at the 2024 Royal Rumble PLE. Reigns isn't scheduled to defend his title belt before the mega event, which means that he's guaranteed to cross Bruno Sammartino's milestone in the coming days.

After Reigns surpasses Sammartino, he will target two-time WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan next. Hogan's WWE Title reign lasted a whopping 1474 days back in the 80s. It certainly won't be an easy task for Reigns to surpass Hogan as he will have to defend his title belt at this year's WrestleMania.

Many fans believe that Cody Rhodes will finish his story at 'Mania by winning the Men's Royal Rumble match again and then defeating Reigns at The Show of Shows. Rhodes lost to Reigns in the main event of last year's WrestleMania due to The Bloodline's interference.

Many others believe that Reigns will face The Rock in the main event of WrestleMania 40. The Great One made his big return on RAW: Day 1 and hinted at going after The Head of the Table somewhere down the line. Only time will tell who will lock horns with Reigns on The Grandest Stage of Them All. No matter when The Tribal Chief's reign ends, he will, without a doubt, go down as one of the biggest heels in WWE history.
