"They freaking hurt" - Vince McMahon was the reason behind a massive change in WWE, according to The Undertaker

The Undertaker's legendary WWE career has made its way into the history books for generations to come. Recently, The Deadman made a shocking revelation about the wrestling rings used back in the day.

The Undertaker made his debut at the 1990 Survivor Series Premium Live Event and worked with WWE under different eras and generations. However, the wrestling rings weren't as soft back in the day as they are now in the twenty-first century.

Speaking on the Six Feet Under podcast, 'Taker revealed how difficult it was to work with stiff rings and how it changed due to Vince McMahon after he started talking bumps inside the squared circle.

"The ring got a lot softer after Vince started taking bumps years ago. Those first generation rings with WWE were nothing more than glorified boxing rings. They freaking hurt, especially in the winter when your body is already stiff and it's cold outside and you're doing double shot days. The second show on a double shot day, your body doesn't loosen up the second time the way it does the first time. Those were pretty snug, hitting some of those in cold arenas," [H/T - Fightful]

The Undertaker and Vince McMahon were spotted in Saudi Arabia ahead of WWE Crown Jewel 2023

Last year, The Undertaker entered the illustrious WWE Hall of Fame, where he was inducted by none other than Vince McMahon. The Deadman and The Boss have known and worked with each other for nearly three decades.

Lately, both are enjoying their social life outside of the company as McMahon has reduced his schedule and 'Taker is enjoying his life post-retirement from in-ring competition for the promotion.

Earlier this month, Vince McMahon and The Deadman were spotted in Saudi Arabia ahead of Crown Jewel 2023. However, the two weren't there for the event. Instead, they came to watch the match between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou.

Earlier this year, 'Taker made a special appearance on NXT, where he chokeslammed Bron Breakker following his match.
