Triple H officially ended major WWE rule Vince McMahon had set; signals end of an era after rumors that he is no longer involved

Triple H made a major change to WWE today that destroyed a rule Vince McMahon had made about years back. The rule had been set with the McMahon family present, but now, with Triple H in charge and among rumors that Vince McMahon is no longer involved, that same has just been destroyed.

In 2018, the McMahon family made their way to the ring to reveal a major rule change. Vince McMahon announced that there would be no more General Managers on either RAW or SmackDown. Instead, they would be under the consolidated rule of the McMahon family.

Since then, the title of General Manager has not been used for either of the shows. Instead, Adam Pearce and others like him have mostly been known as 'Officials.' However, With Vince McMahon now reportedly no longer involved in WWE creative, it appears The Game had a change of mind.

Tonight on SmackDown, though, Triple H brought that era to an end. He announced that Pearce was being promoted from his usual role as an official to the RAW General Manager. Moreover, Nick Aldis was introduced as the SmackDown General Manager.

With this decision, The Game ended an era of RAW and SmackDown without a top General Manager. This could even see further feuds heading into Survivor Series.
