WWE Hall of Famers Teddy Long and John "Bradshaw" Layfield (JBL) returned to SmackDown this week and announced the picks for the fourth round of the WWE Draft 2024, which included AJ Styles and three other stars.

A total of twenty superstars were selected on the latest episode of SmackDown for the draft, and a few of them ended up changing brands. Carmelo Hayes and Kiana James were the two stars who were called up from NXT. Melo is now officially part of the blue brand, and he collided with Cody Rhodes in the main event of the show.

The final picks for the Night One of the WWE Draft 2024 were announced by wrestling legends Teddy Long and JBL. Long revealed that SmackDown selected AJ Styles, which means that The Phenomenal One will remain on the blue brand after Backlash. JBL then announced that RAW selected Chad Gable, Otis, Maxxine Dupri, and Akira Tozawa, collectively known as the Alpha Academy. They will all stay on the red brand.

Teddy Long also revealed that SmackDown selected Andrade, making him one of the few stars who switched brands during the show. The final pick for the fourth round of the WWE Draft was former NXT Women's Tag Team Champion Kiana James, who has officially been called up to the main roster on Monday Night RAW.
