Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson returned to World Wrestling Entertainment in 2024 to step into the ring with his cousin Roman Reigns, to make it the biggest main event in WrestleMania history.

Reigns has been a great servant of the Stamford-based promotion and has changed the way people perceive its product in the last few years. Suffice it to say that The Tribal Chief elevated the product's current status to being arguably the best era of all time, rivaling even the most notable Attitude Era.

The Rock is certainly at par, and perhaps an even bigger star than The Head of the Table. However, LA Knight is not particularly keen on facing The Final Boss. The Megastar of WWE did go after Roman Reigns a few times on Friday Night SmackDown when the latter was the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.

While speaking on the Cheap Heat podcast, Knight was asked about his relationship with Dwayne Johnson, and if there was a dream match scenario that he had in mind. Knight said he runs into Johnson now and then but his dream match is always to fight for the title.

"Nah I mean we run into each other, hey good to see ya, haven't seen you in a while, that kind of thing ... my dream match is whomever is the WWE Champion and me being there and winning the championship, that's always been my stock answer," he said.

He elaborated that he wants to be the top guy in the promotion and his dream match will always be to fight for the world title regardless of who holds it. He did however name Hogan, Flair, Austin, etc as some of the names he would have loved to share the ring with.

"You go back in time, you go to my favorites, Hogan, Austin, Rock, Flair, Piper, would I have loved to have a match with any of them? Sure, but at the end of the day, if I wanted to achieve everything I ever wanted to do, it's to be the guy at the top of the mountain and be the WWE Champion. So that is the dream match, doesn't matter who's holding that title, that's the dream match," said Knight. [H/T: Wrestling Inc.]

The Rock not only resurfaced on WWE programming as a wrestler in 2024 but also became a member of the board of directors of the promotion's parent company, TKO Group Holdings, Inc.

An opportunity to face The Final Boss is rare at this stage of the man's career. Perhaps there are only a few more matches left in his tank. One of them is seemingly against Cody Rhodes in the near future.

LA Knight failed to become the new number-one contender for Undisputed WWE Championship

On SmackDown this past Friday night, LA Knight and AJ Styles fought in a WrestleMania XL rematch to determine the number-one contender for the Undisputed WWE Championship. The bout was well-received, albeit Knight took a loss after his noteworthy moment on the grand stage just a few weeks ago.

It remains to be seen what is next for LA Knight. He is one of the few babyface stars on the roster whom WWE seemingly considers protecting, evidently, and perhaps a match against Cody Rhodes may not have been the right direction at this point for the man they call the Megastar.
