5 things that should happen at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans

NXT TakeOver: New Orleans takes place on April 7th of this year. It is NXT's equivalent to the WrestleMania show and it won't disappoint. WWE recently (Probably by accident) leaked the rest of the card for the show and the only new match on the card that hasn't been announced yet is Johnny Gargano vs Tomasso Ciampa.

NXT PPVs in the past have never disappointed and this won't either. This event will be spectacular because of the introduction of a brand new title for the brand, the North American Championship.

Let's take a look at 5 things that should happen at the event.

#5 Gargano defeats his biggest foe

The match will be an unsanctioned match

Fans will be looking at a storytelling masterpiece. Both men know how to play their parts and it will show in this match.

Ciampa turned on Gargano at the end of TakeOver Chicago last year and would've set a feud up right away, but Ciampa was injured shortly after this. Since then, he has become the biggest troll, even while being injured, he's still messing with Gargano.

Expect this match to be all about storytelling. Gargano being sick of Ciampa and just laying in to him. Expect Ciampa to use his crutch on Gargano to weaken him, but ultimately have 'Johnny Wrestling' come out the winner for a feel-good face moment and beating his biggest foe.

#4 EC3 becomes the first ever North American Champion

This ladder match will definitely be one of the best matches of the night, if not the weekend. William Regal announced that there will be a new championship induction and that will be the North American Championship.

Looking at who is in the match, there are only a few likely winners unless WWE swerves us. Adam Cole, Ricochet and EC3 are probably the best possible winners for the match. Cole is pulling double duty for the event and probably won't win.

Ricochet could win for a feel good ''Indie Darling'' moment. But EC3 should win to help boost him up and get him used to the NXT crowds. When he does lose it at some point, he could be a major contender for the NXT Title.

#3 Cole and O'Reilly retain for their stable member Bobby Fish

Winners of the match get both the titles and the trophy

Adam Cole will be pulling double duty for the event because Bobby Fish is injured forcing Cole to take his place. The other competitors in the match will be the Authors of Pain and the team of Pete Dunne and Roderick Strong.

AOP won't be winning because there's a chance that they are getting the call up to the main roster after WrestleMania. Cole and O'Reilly should retain as WWE will make it look like they are weak, that they have no idea what they are doing and then they win. Dunne and Strong are good but are much better as singles competitors.

#2 Ember Moon's Title Run Continues

This will be the only rematch taking place at the event. Shayna Baszler is not only still new to NXT but also to wrestling in general. She's only been wrestling for about two years now. Unless WWE wants to go that route and give the 'Newbie' the title right away, Moon should walk out still champion.

'The Queen of Spades' work during their last match was submission base, so expect Moon reversing some of them. There's a high chance that she won't drop the title. If she were to lose, it might be because she's leaving for the main roster. But she still has a good few months left in her run.

#1 NXT Championship comes to the Dark Side

A New Champion going forward.

This match could be a main event for WrestleMania and it would be just as good. Expect this match to be very good, but not as good as Gargano/Almas.

Black should win because there's a chance Almas is done in NXT. His surprise appearance in the Royal Rumble hints that he would be joining the main roster soon.

Expect high flying moves from the champ and hard striking from Black. WrestleMania weekend will have so many memorable matches this year and expect most of them to come from NXT TakeOver: New Orleans.
