Hollywood star Chris Hemsworth recently provided an update on the status of Hulk Hogan's biopic, but the news appeared to be quite disappointing for WWE fans. Hemsworth, who rose to global fame playing the character of Thor, the God of Thunder, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), admitted that there was nothing official yet.

"I can't say it's officially happening yet. If there was a green light, I'd get to work on it. But it's interesting. It's a tricky thing to play a real-life character. I've done it once before, and people immediately have the measuring stick out and the critiques and so on. It'd be nerve-wracking, but if there's a great script and a story to tell, I'd love to jump into it. But there's nothing official at this point," Chris Hemsworth told Screen Rant. [H/T Fightful]

Back in February 2019, it was announced that the Hollywood star would play Hulk Hogan in a movie, but five years later, it appears there has been little to no progress.

Based on what Chris Hemsworth said, it is unclear whether fans would get to see a movie about Hulk Hogan's life.

Chris Hemsworth once opened up about the transformation he would need to play WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan

Hulk Hogan is an iconic figure in the world of wrestling and his biopic would certainly attract a lot of interest from WWE fans.

A few years ago, Chris Hemsworth shared his thoughts on the challenges he would face in playing The Hulkster in terms of physical transformation.

"I will have to put on more size than I ever have before, even more than I put on for Thor, and then there is the accent as well as the physicality and the attitude. I will also have to do a deep dive into the rabbit hole of the wrestling world, which I'm really looking forward to doing. I'm going to be blonde, probably balding and with a 'tache. It's going to be fun to see," Chris Hemsworth said. [H/T Fightful]

As for Hogan, he offered an update on the status of the movie back in 2022, saying that even if the script was ready, some business and technical issues pushed it back. It seems like these issues have yet to be resolved, based on what Chris Hemsworth said. It is also yet unclear if the whole project will proceed as a Netflix series or a movie.
