WWE WrestleMania 32: 5 Superstars who could win the Andre the Giant battle royal

Surprise victory in the works?

The Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal has not been pushed down to the pre-show this time and it seems possible that the WWE might just be teasing a popular wrestler to win the whole match.

The more likely scenario is that Big Show would win it, last eliminating Kane and that the match was put on the main show because either it was the Battle Royal or the Total Divas tag team match that was fighting for the last spot on the card.

Sarcasm aside, let us look at the five superstars who could win the whole thing.

Kane

A deserved Mania moment?

The WWE Creative are known to be mind-numbingly lazy when deciding the outcomes of lower mid card matches, but even they wouldn’t let a momentum-less BigShow win the match two years in a row.

So they might just hand out the win to the next worst option – Kane.

The big red monster has never had much of a memorable ‘Mania moment – including the blink and you miss it ECW title win over Chavo Guerrero and a clean victory over an out of sorts Randy Orton three years back – and the Creative might choose to make up for that.

Kane is the only non-500 pounder with any momentum going into the match and he might just chokeslam his way to victory!!!

Sigh!!

Tyler Breeze

Back to relevancy?

There have been 15 wrestlers announced to having been entered into the Battle Royal and most of them do not raise the slightest amount of interest among wrestling fans – Social outcasts, Ascension, Fandango, Jack Swagger, Darren Young and co do not entirely post a promising picture.

But Tyler Breeze does!

Breeze’s act was pretty over in NXT and even though Vince McMahon deemed him unworthy of a mid-card status on the main roster, he is still young and can develop a lot. It might be a stretch to consider Breeze as a favourite, but look at the rest of the card – Someone has to win this thing after all.

Goldust

A reward for the loyalty shown?

Let us leave realism aside and consider the fact that the Goldust-Truth promos will have some sort of a blow off at ‘Mania and it would result in Goldust winning the battle royal.

WWE has shown in the past that they would like to reward their veteran performers with some sort of a carrot and some one like Goldust, who has had a tonne of history with the company, might just be handed out the consolation of winning the match.

Will the WWE fans react positively to Goldust’s win? He still has a following and the unexpected nature of the victory could just lift the spirits a little.

Braun Strowman

The beginning of the monster push?

Nobody knows why the Wyatts are not advertised for WrestleMania. Bray might run interference in one of the high-profile matches on the card and is not expected to stoop down so as to enter the Battle Royal, but the rest of his family might.

Braun Strowman has been heavily pushed during his WWE run and him winning the battle royal makes a lot of sense.

This is exactly the place to push a young talent and while it might be too much to say that Strowman can ride the wave of momentum that comes with winning the match, it wouldn’t hurt his career to have a WrestleMania moment.

Finn Balor

The time is ripe!

The lack of star power in the match and even on the WrestleMania card might just be the reason for the WWE to look to that endless pit of talent that is NXT. Several superstars on the show can make genuine claims for a main roster spot – including Samoa Joe and Baron Corbin.

But nobody deserves it more than the current NXT Champion Finn Balor. There have been rumours doing the rounds that Balor’s popular NJPW stable – The Bullet Club – might make its way to the WWE and WrestleMania might just be the place to introduce them.

Balor eliminating seasoned superstars like the Big Show and Kane to win the match would just be the start to his main roster career that he needs!!
