WWE: Batista comments on his new movie, says he is living the American Dream

WWE superstar Batista’s new movie, Guardians of the Galaxy, opened successfully in theatres worldwide and The Animal has been praised for his role as Drax the Destroyer in Marvel’s movie.

Just like in his real life where he is misunderstood, Batista’s character in the movie can also be labelled as a brainless muscular fighter, but he actually is a husband and a father wracked by tragedy and intent on vengeance.

Talking to USA Today about his role and the movie, this is what Dave had to say.

"People look at me and they have a certain perception and they slap a label on me. The guy you saw in a wrestling ring is not who I am."

"It's the kind of stuff that keeps you young and turns you into a little kid. I was a poor kid. I came from nothing. We didn't have any money; a lot of times we didn't have any food, and now all of a sudden I'm a superhero in a Marvel movie? Talk about the American dream, man, I'm living it."
