Goldust put up a stellar show on RAW

The September 9th edition of Monday night RAW was certainly a better show than anything we have witnessed in the recent past. It featured the return of two former WWE superstars in Edge and Goldust, both of whom got some well deserved crowd reaction.

Speaking of Goldust, he made a return to RAW after wrestling in the same brand over three years ago. He faced Randy Orton in a match that had more than just pride on the line. A victory for Goldust would ensure that Cody Rhodes would be re-instated back in the WWE.

The match began with a huge pop for Goldust, who looked better than ever. Goldust took Orton to the limit a midst the ‘you still got it’ chants. In a match which looked like it would go wither way, Randy Orton picked up the win after hitting a trademark RKO.

What this does is that it opens a possibility of a McMahon – Rhodes family feud down the road. With Cody Rhodes clearly stating that the McMahons have humiliated the Rhodes family in the past, a storyline featuring the above angle would certainly be ‘good for business’.
