WWE Rumors: Former stars to file a lawsuit against the WWE

Could the WWE Network bring about a major headache for the company?

WWE Network is not just popular for its comprehensive collection of matches from the past but also for its quality interviews and exclusive shows, which a wrestling fan can enjoy by paying a nominal fee of $ 9.99.

With over a million subscribers, people can enjoy the Network shows anytime. Because of the WWE Network boom, the DVD sales have taken a major hit.

According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE may be hit by a class action lawsuit. Several reports have revealed that the lawsuit would involve royalties for former stars who will be appearing or have appeared on the WWE Network shows.

The wrestlers who participate in the interviews for WWE DVDs get paid for it and usually collect royalties from DVD sales. Lately, WWE’s DVD business has reduced due to the WWE Network.

Wrestlers are paid for their interviews for shows on the award-winning WWE Network but they do not collect a royalty check from the program they appeared in – which is the exact opposite of what happens in the case of DVDs.

It has been reported that no written case has been filed against WWE in this matter as of yet, but they may be hit by lawsuits soon.
