WWE News: Forgotten WWE Superstar training for in-ring return

Sin Cara is ready to return to the ring
Sin Cara is ready to return to the ring

What’s the story?

Sin Cara has had quite the tough time with injury, and it's been quite a while since we last saw the Luchador in action - however the SmackDown Live Superstar is training ahead of a return to the ring!

In case you didn’t know…

Sin Cara has been a staple for WWE for many years - and they like the character so much that he's actually been portrayed by two separate wrestlers. The most recent and current is 40-year-old Jorge Arias, who has competed in the sport of professional wrestling since 1999.

Arias previously wrestled under the ring-name Hunico in the WWE, and has wrestled with the company for ten years. Sin Cara is one of several masked men who has struggled to conceal his identity, and has been unmasked in the past.

The heart of the matter

Sin Cara recently took to Twitter to share the below video of him preparing for his in-ring return. Like many Superstars, Sin Cara had a very stop-start 2018 - and it ended up being more stop than start. 2019 is looking bright for the Lucha Dragon though, and we could see him back in the ring very soon!

What’s next?

Before his injury, Sin Cara was in a mini-rivalry with Andrade. It'll be interesting to see if that resumes. One interesting point of note is that Sin Cara is very close friends with Rey Mysterio, who has recently returned to SmackDown Live - the brand Sin Cara calls home - so we could very well see the masked men paired up upon his return to the ring!
