WWE News: Former WWE Superstar Boogeyman accepts money and no-shows event

Will the Boogeyman return the money?

Former WWE Superstar Boogeyman, or Marty Wright in reality, has apparently accepted money from a UK-based independent promotion known as HOPE wrestling and no-showed their event.

Not only that, their desperate attempts to contact him and retrieve the money have also been unsuccessful so far. The following are a series of tweets that encapsulate the communication between Wright and the company:

Apparently, Wright then contacted the promotion to come clean, and also promised them money by Sunday. However, when Sunday passed and the money wasn’t returned, the promotion took to social media yet again to express their frustration at the former WWE Superstar, this time, also including a screenshot of their text message conversation.

Fans drowned out a popular wrestler with 'She's a racist' chants recently

It is worth noting that Marty Wright isn’t only a former WWE Superstar, but is also signed to them on a Legend’s contract. His last appearance on WWE programming was as a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble in 2015. He was eliminated pretty quickly by Bray Wyatt.

Since he is technically under contract with the WWE, it would be interesting to see if the pro-wrestling powerhouse decides to address this issue.
