WWE News: Hulk Hogan comments on his WrestleMania status

Back a
Back again, Brother?

What’s the story?

As reported late last week, a WWE rep has officially confirmed that WWE has spoken with Hulk Hogan regarding a possible return. Hogan has since commented if we will be seeing him at WrestleMania next week.

In case you didn’t know…

There have been numerous reports over the past two years that a WWE return for Hulk Hogan was possible in the foreseeable future, but none of these reports were true. This is the first time since his release in 2015 that WWE has negotiated with Hogan.

Hogan will be a guest of WWE's at the premiere for the HBO Sports' Andre the Giant documentary, this week.

The heart of the matter

Hulk Hogan has been asked by several fans on Twitter over the past week if he will be making an appearance at WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans next Sunday. Hogan has responded saying:

"Yes, sir I will be on the beach watching WrestleMania on the WWE network brother. HH"

This has been a common response from Hogan several times over the past two years every time someone has asked if he was set to appear at a WWE event.

What’s next?

WrestleMania 34 takes place next Sunday on April 8, at the Mercedez-Benz Superdome, in New Orleans.

Author’s take

I imagine whenever he returns to WWE, hopefully, this year, it will be on a smaller stage than WrestleMania. 2018 WWE Hall of Famer Hillbilly Jim has said, that he would love for Hulk Hogan to induct him into the Hall of Fame and I agree that Hogan would be a very fitting inductor.

That is the kind of first WWE return appearance I think Hogan should make, however, at least according to him, he will be watching WrestleMania from home, and I believe him.
