What's the story?

At WWE's Royal Rumble pay-per-view, in the Triple Threat Match for the Universal Championship, Brock Lesnar defended his title against Kane and Braun Strowman. Lesnar was able to successfully retain his Championship after he was able to pin Kane.

Earlier in the match, Braun Strowman hit Brock Lesnar with a stiff knee across the side of the head. Lesnar, a former UFC Heavyweight Champion, punched Strowman's head with a stiff shot and shouted at him to 'Slow the f--- down.'

In case you didn't know...

Brock Lesnar is known for his legitimate MMA abilities which he learnt during his stint with UFC. One of the fiercest competitors in WWE, Lesnar's real-life skills adds a layer to his already capable repertoire.

Earlier, during a match with Randy Orton at Summerslam, Lesnar showcased his skills by cutting a gash on Orton's forehead with his elbow during a beatdown. In that incident, Chris Jericho had been so convinced that Lesnar had done a shoot on Orton that he had confronted 'The Beast Incarnate' backstage. However, the ending had been planned prior to the bout and was a work by WWE.

The heart of the matter

During the Universal Championship Triple Threat Match, Strowman hit Lesnar with a stiff knee across the side of his head. Lesnar took things into his own hand and decided to teach the "Monster Among Men" a lesson, by punching him on the side of the head hard.

The punch was accompanied by a bit of 'advice' Lesnar gave Strowman.

According to WWE Analyst, Justin LaBar, the audio from the match has been cut by WWE for a brief second to take out Lesnar's words.

What's next?

Braun Strowman is part of the Elimination Chamber match which will decide who gets to face Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at Wrestlemania. If the 'Monster Among Men' should be the one to face him, he will likely be careful so that this does not happen again.

Author's take

Brock Lesnar has legitimate fighting skills due to his stint with UFC. Despite being one of the strongest men in WWE, Strowman might not be a match for Lesnar in a real fight.
