What's the Story?

Monday Night Raw averaged 2.70 million viewers, which was up significantly from the go-home show on January 21.

The show focused on the follow-up from The Royal Rumble pay-per-view and confirmed two headlining matches for WrestleMania 35.

In Case You Didn't Know

Raw focused on Seth Rollins celebrating his Royal Rumble victory and having to choose his challenger by the end of the night. Rollins was brutally attacked by Lesnar at the end of the night, before their WrestleMania match was confirmed.

However, the confirmation of Becky Lynch versus Ronda Rousey for WrestleMania was the biggest talking point coming out of this week's show.

The Heart of the Matter

Raw held the top spot for Monday Night Cable and saw an increase of 240,000 viewers from the Royal Rumble go-home show.

The following are is the hourly breakdown of the Jan. 28 episode of Raw per ShowBuzzDaily:

Hour one: 2.816 million viewers
Hour two: 2.718 million viewers
Hour three: 2.575 million viewers

Raw retained much of their viewers throughout the program when compared to last week's episode, which lost nearly 700,000 fans by the third hour. This week's episode saw a loss of only 241,000 viewers.

The structure of the episodes may have a signficant impact on their performance in the ratings.

Last week's episode didn't have a central storyline throughout the show, but this week's Raw and the episode from two weeks ago had a storyline that was the primary focus througout the program, and brought in the highest ratings since the summer.

What's Next?

With two WrestleMania matches confirmed this week, Raw will probably reveal more matches after the next two pay-per-views conclude.

Sasha Banks & Bayley vs. Alicia Fox and Nikki Cross is the only match currently confirmed for next week's show.
