Welcome to the latest edition of WWE News and Rumor Roundup. In today's edition, we will cover exciting stories revolving around top names such as Triple H and Randy Orton.

After the recent string of releases that involved Jinder Mahal, Xia Li, Xyon Quinn, Veer Mahaan, and Sanga, another popular name is reported to have been let go by the company. So, without any further delay, let's begin.

#1. WWE Sunday Stunner Results

WWE hosted a live event in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on Sunday, April 21, where top stars from SmackDown were in action.

Here are the complete results from the show:

  • The LWO (Rey Mysterio, Carlito & Dragon Lee) defeat Santos Escobar, Angel & Berto
  • Bobby Lashley defeated Karrion Kross (w/ Scarlett)
  • WWE Tag Team Title Match – Grayson Waller & Austin Theory (c) retain over New Catch Republic (Butch & Pete Dunne)
  • Jade Cargill, Bianca Belair & Naomi defeat Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai & WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Asuka & Kairi Sane)
  • The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) defeat The Authors of Pain
  • WWE Women’s Title Match – Bayley (c) retains over IYO Sky
  • LA Knight defeats Solo Sikoa in a No DQ Match

#2. Former star revealed that Randy Orton requested to work with him

Randy Orton is one of the biggest names to have stepped inside the squared circle. The Apex Predator has contributed much to the pro wrestling business, shaping many young stars' careers, including Matt Riddle.

During a recent interview, the former WWE star revealed that Orton personally requested to work with him:

“Randy was supposed to wrestle Braun Strowman one night and I was supposed to tag with Drew against Mace and T Bar, you know, when Retribution was still around. I don’t know what happened but Randy and Braun didn’t end up wrestling and they switched Braun with me. So I got to wrestle Randy instead. After we worked Randy spoke very highly of me. He’s like ‘I want to do something else with him’ and they already had plans that we tag," said Riddle. (H/T Ringside News)

Orton and Riddle teamed up for a few months and even won the RAW Tag Team Championship together. The duo were separated after the Legend Killer was sidelined due to injury.

#3. Von Wagner released

WWE recently released a multitude of stars, with Jinder Mahal, Xia Li, Xyon Quinn, Veer Mahaan, and Sanga departing the company. A recent report from Fightful Select noted that Von Wagner has also been let go from his contract.

Wagner was last seen in action earlier this month, where he suffered a loss against Lexis King.

#4. Shots fired at Triple H

Triple H shared a heartfelt moment with Cody Rhodes after the latter defeated Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40. However, the incident was mocked by Toni Storm after she retained the AEW Women's World Championship at last night's Dynasty pay-per-view.

Storm stated during the post-show press conference that she would never call Tony Khan to the ring, no matter how many stories she finishes.

"Antony, I promise you no matter how many matches I win, no matter how many stories I finish. [Sigh] I would never call you into the ring to celebrate with me," she said.

The AEW Women's World Champion was a part of the global juggernaut. However, she left the company in 2021 after an underwhelming run on the main roster.
